Hello All, I just had a question brought to my attention from the man I buy my house from.... and I didnt know!

Is there an ACTUAL article that states an RV will happen SOMEDAY? I mean as much as we think one should happen, I have yet to see ANY article or release saying that this is what IRAQ's intentions are. Please someone if you can guide me to find something/anything.. Thank you

Thanks :) Apparently we have 28 users and not a single one has the ANSWER... they are lurking in hopes to get it to! Well maybe the Dinar isnt what all these people are claiming... If NO ONE can show us that, then we know the DINAR REVALUE IS BS

People open your eyes lets realize this together... NO ONE NOT ANYONE in IRAQ has said there will be an RV.. Thats a hard fact to face... WOW all this time, I have been believing and hoping for NOTHING.. That sucks

The answer is no.

There are a lot of people doing "research" with actual articles, and then coming to speculative conclusions.

The CBI has stated publicly what their intentions are, but I won't tell you here because I don't want your thread moved to the LOP forum. Members of the Iraq government have made statements against the LOP, but the independent CBI has sole discretion in matters of the currency.

You probably need to sell your currency. If you are looking for a "sure thing guarantee", this is not for you. Most currency gets devalued in time of war. It is speculation that the value will increase over time and seeing how this country is floating on oil and corporations are knocking their doors down to business with them, I like it. 1.5 % on your CD is guaranteed, as long as the government can back it up. This may be a far better course of action for you. Leave the high risk currency speculation for people more well equipped to handle it. JMO

My main objective on this site is to tell people to buy all of the IQD they want, just make sure they get close to 1170 IQD/Dollar. Have fun with this whole thing, but I cannot think of a reason to give the dealers (or anybody else) our hard earned money.

Personally, I'm still looking for the article (or contract for that matter) that states that my investment in Apple Computer and the Muni Bonds that I own will guarantee a return. I'm sure others here are looking for the return that they expected from Enron and Merrill Lynch (two supposedly safe bets -- at the time of the bet). And people all over the country are just now waking up to their "guaranteed" pensions that are presently paying out from the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation at 30% of what they expected to be paid for the rest of their lives.

Please spend more time in the archives here to uncover the references to Shabibi and the RV as well as all other supporting evidence. Your question, hopefulrv, is fairly common as people are of the "ready, fire, aim" mindset. For the millionth time: THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES. And, yes, this IS what you are asking for ...

We pay our money and we take our chances. Simple as that.

Nice thing is ... you can get most of your investment back today if you really want to sell your dinar. I've taken much greater losses that receiving 80-90% of my original investment back.

Just hang on.

thanks for your input... YOU MISSED my question.. yes, I have DONE my homework, yes I have reada, HOWEVER my question is WHERE did someone come up with the idea this is GOING to happen. I wasnt asking for guarantees. I was simply stating this INFO has to have been derived from SOMETHING. I AM A GAMBLER I LOVE to TAKE CHANCES. I was just CURIOUS

I have read posts on this and other websites that make very intelligent, thought out, arguments pointing to not if an RV will take place, but when and how much. I agree. After reading history of other currency devaluations, and RV that followed, I made the dicision to invest in this. However, I am not spending my lunch money on it. Read, Consider, and use caution. I have been reading media articles for some time and have never seen what you are looking for.

HOWEVER ...

I have also been reading opinions, and chats, as well as news items. And it seems that everyone, whether guru or relative newbie, long time members, consistent bashers, or seldom posters, indicate in their posts and comments that Shabibi is the ONLY one who can make it happen. The IT being the revaluation of the dinar. And they seem to take for granted that it has been written and stated by Shabibi that he would revalue the dinar arter this or that event happened. In all the posting it seems most people are sure that it has been more than just an assumed thing, but something Shabibi has promised to revalue the dinar. I have not seen it in media statement form. I have only seen it as a "reality" of the members. With so many believing that Shabibi actually promised to revalue the dinar, I had assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that it had at one point been something quoted in some article.

So, I wish you luck in finding it. I think it would be interesting to see what, if anything, Shabibi DID say.

Maybe someone who travels to the J4D site might ask Okie ... he has been one of those who have stated firmly that Shabibi is the one who has made this promise.

p.s. I have no love for Okie, but he may have some information that is useful in this ... it would be worth asking. Now when it comes to date or rate, I wouldn't bother asking him ... it is always tonight, or Monday.

. lol well to answer your ? no ther ARE NOT because if indeed it wathat simple veryone and their mom would be bying up dinar so it won't drectly come out and say they will revalue someday but ere are hints stating that indeed the iraqi dinar wil rise in value against the dollar look through my posts its there and that is coming straight from the CBI take it as you will i could care less.

If you had done your homework then you would know "where someone came up with the idea that this was going to happen". Have you invested? Spend about 10 hours in the archives. There's many "ideas" in there.
