Ya know, having been in Iraq as some of us have and seeing the Kuwaiti people, it would be nice and a Blessing to see the Iraqi people in the same boat. If you are born and raised in Kuwait, you just plan don't work. You have people working for you. I know Iraq is a much larger country, but it would nice to see the 250 Dinar bank card turn into 25,000 Dinar bank cards. After the RV of course. These people have been through more than you can imagine. The kids used to walk around shoe less and having been to a couple of schools during my stay there, not all the kids are getting an education. I am sure that has all changed by now. When I was there, we put a sandal drive together and wrote or called home to have everybody send us sandals or flip-flaps for the children. It was a big success and it was nice towards the end of my tour to see children outside the wire with them on. Before we issued the sandals/flip-flaps, we would clean their feet from all the scrapnel cuts from the war. I was there in 04 and I am sure they are doing alot better now. I am sure there are alot of former Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen and women whom have seen alot more than I have????? I think we as Americans whom I have to say, are quite spoiled compared to the Iraqi people, need to keep them, the people of Iraq in our prayers. They have come along way but still have a long way to go. I know that we may one day, the LORD willing, be pretty rich people. Let's hope the Iraqi people are even richer. I have not spoke much on this site with all the expected dates and rates going on. To be honest with you, I am 56 years old, turned 50 in Iraq, retired in 07, and just ready for this to be over with. Let's once again, pray for the people of Iraq and be smart with our investments. GOD BLESS EVERYONE. Let the deletion begin if need be.
