No worries. The Chinese have just opened up a fireworks factory there and are showing the iraqis how to use them...Believe it or not???

I'm sure people thought they were being attacked.

In the past I worked on a 145 foot sailing ship that had cannons on board. We sailed to Hawaii, and when we got there we were so excited that we shot the cannons off at about 11:00 at night. The police showed up and they said they had alot of calls, they thought it was pearl harbor all over again.

I saw the same thing going to get something to eat. It surprised me, definitely out of the ordinary.

When I came out later there was a lot of talking over a loud speaker. It was off in the distance. Not the prayer stuff.

When did Eid finish?

It wasn't as grand as some of the fourth of july's I've been a part of but it was decent size and it went on for a while.

I had a crazy thought they might sneak a round in or something...hehehe
