another rumor bites the dust

In the 7 years that I have been a part of this investment, the only ones who I have seen make any real money are the dealers. Believe me they have made hundreds of thousands of dollars. And they make it by starting rumors that the Rv is "happening this weekend". Every time you hear that statement, millions and millions of dinar are purchased, and they make out like a bandit. Don't get me wrong, I feel Iraq is the investment of a lifetime, but they have a long way to go before any of us will make any money. I am ok with that. I expected a 10-15 year wait when I invested 7 years ago. It is interesting to watch so many people believe these gurus week after week when they have no real success up to now in picking a time for the RV. They haven't been right on one single prediction, but they are continually pumped up with encouraging words as though they will quit and go away if anyone speaks the truth. And when the truth is spoken, some people are banned from the site. Just good business I guess. Can't have anyone spreading the truth. That would be bad for business. All and all it is great entertainment even though I see levels of frustration beyond comprehension. I am in it for the long haul, and believe it or not, I hope that the Iraqi people are rewarded somehow eventually. They certainly deserve it more than any of us.

that is not entirely true, you are assuming that the predictions you mention from "guru's" are relevant to an Rv/Ri. There are a small handful that throw out carless pumps without thought like TK, or are only there to mislead and cause confusion like AC. However, there are some who try very hard to dig and decipher the articles to bring us their version of the facts. I have done my own study, and it is difficult because Iraq cannot be trusted with anything they say. They have had many great opportunities to reval but have continued on oblivious to their surroundings bantering at each other. Many of the gurus have made play by play calls that have worked out nicely from week to week. I think most have done the best job they could with the tools that they had. I'm not throwing stones but It's to easy to say thier track record stinks and not one has been right. Now, at one time or another, they have all made their throw at "the day", without success. Can you discredit somone for a years worth of work because of one prediction did not go your way? Look who they are trying to study, the delay kings of the universe, Iraq!!

I too have been blessed to be a business owner of many companies just like you. But I am perplexed with some of your statments. I am just having trouble feeling energized or inspired by your writings of this post. After all, isn't that part of the fundamentals of what a good leader does? My friend, this is everyones ride and does not require a helmsman here. Flaming people because they are new or do not understand you only shows that you sir have not been a good leader nor a communicator, at least in this post. Let me get this straight... you would "fire" "whiners" but yet you would let liars and scam artists, such as (changed my mind, I was going to mention names here) and the list goes on, stay on board??? Give me an honest whiner any day of the week over a lying scam artist that is trying to pull one over on me.

I am sorry I thought that you already knew.

The big push to purge the pumpers all over the net came from a group of friends of a guy that’s life recently took a wrong turn. Supposedly, one of them had a brother that just passed away of an illness.

In a diary notebook he had listed screen names that “this brother” portrayed, amounts of monthly pay in cash from certain dealers and numerous other screen names of other people that did the same thing as he did.

He (the brother) had just received credible intel (that would be enormously unpopular)… then a heart problem right afterwards. He survived the heart problem but it was too much for his body to handle.

Apparently he had a come to Jesus moment and days before passing away charged his brother and his friends to purge the web of what they can of the pumpers and apologize for his misdeeds without revealing who he was.

He was well aware that they (pumpers) would always come back… but make it public and at least it will show the newbie’s that these guys exist and that they are out for their cut.

From what I understand this guy had a 180 in life… too bad it was a few days before he passed away

Here we are another sunday rumor come and gone. If you go through historical posts on this site or any other dinar site, you will find much of the same rhetoric from the past.

What amazes me is how they position themselves thinking this time is it. I honestly believe they think that. As a result, they seem to forget all the other times they missed the mark. First there are few that you can believe have done plenty of research for those of us that were learning and uneducated on this investment...I do not believe their intentions were to mislead any of us.

Think back to the Iraq elections. The claim was the Iraq government was formed. The RV was imminent. The government officials were named but it was not going to be released until the "right time" and bam...the RV would follow. I was in Iraq during this time and even the locals thought we were "there" - the excitement and happiness on the faces of the Iraqi people was something that I witnessed firsthand.

Also I am a bit confused to why Iraq civilians are trading dinar currency 1:1 on the "black market". Here is just one reason I struggle with this said activity. While I do believe that a lot of Iraq citizens still use US dollars, most Iraqi people are very poor just as it was mentioned in the long frank post. What is the advantage of trading the dinar on the market regardless of what it is trading for. Really? I need an answer here....WHY is there a need to be exchanging for lower denominations? WHAT is the advantage? Well I don't know anything about a 1:1 trade - I purchased all of mine from locals in Iraq during my four years in Tikrit and never ever did I trade 1:1 - key word in your question might be "frank" post.

Let's look pre and post RV.

Pre RV, civilians have lower denominations. Ok....and what is the advantage of that? I really don't see any advantage to holding a lower denominated note.

Post RV, civilians how have lower denominations. Ok, and what is the advantage to that? Again, I don't see any advantage to holding lower notes. In country, post RV, what added value is there for Iraq citizens holding dinar. It is, after all, their common currency.

Is anyone willing to debate this issue with me? My initial questions are very simple:

1. If a person in Iraq has dinar, post RV, are they going to cash in the dinar for US Dollars? If so, are you assuming that the dollar value per dinar won't change so what will end up happening is all Iraq civilians will exchange their dinar for US Dollars. If this happens where all dinar is exchanged for US Dollar, it could actually drive the dinar down. I really don't see the Iraq govt allowing the US dollar being used in place of the Dinar. The amount of corruption in Iraq is pretty high so I will give an sliver of possibility Iraqi civilians will try to exchange their dinar for dollars with hopes they will have more buying power within their own borders.

If an average Iraq citizen has stored up a bunch of dinar and there is a revalue, the only way I see them having the benefit of wealth, they would exchange their dinar to another currency and move to the country they exchanged the currency to. Without that, an Iraq has a lot of dollars (after exchange) in their home country and they will have to pay for things at the new exchange rate.

If you understand what I am saying, you are missing the point of how the dinar value impacts those in Iraq after a RV. Long term effects, import/export are where the Iraq civilians will see change.

In conclusion, the idea that new dinar notes are being traded on the black market could be happening but I question the validity of this statement. Furthermore, I question the value added to such a claim.

As we come to the conclusion of another rumor we still wait. We wait for the next rumor and the next, etc. One day someone will get it right, but not because they have secret intel or sources, but because they got lucky. And because it finally happened. I will sit patiently on the side and wait. Until then i don't put any stock into any predicted RV from any one. I have been here to long to start to beleive them now. It will happen when it happens. When? tomorrow, nexte week, next month, next year? no one knows that answer. Your last statement is correct - NO ONE KNOWS - NOT EVEN THE IRAQI's.....but the "Guru's on the DV site that I follow are the ones that have provided history, documentation, presentations, thoughts, etc. on their own time to help educate and are for guidance purposes only - JMO

Let me first state that I don't "Check and Surf" other sites.....I am thankful for the knowledge gained from Scooter, zzzzzzzzz, Steve1, Viper, ChiefV, Sonny1, Riverstyx, Eddinar, HuntTech, Scooby Doo, Carrieann, Adam and a a few othersthat have taken time out of their personal lives to assist people like me that invested almost four years and didn't even know where to begin with this investment. I thank Adam for providing a forum these individuals to share their knowledge and for the Mods that take time from their lives to assist with this site as well.

I can't begin to express my sadness for a negative post when something doesn't fall in place - the above mentioned individuals have helped with guidance and not broken promises. I too shared information from the locals while in Iraq only to share information that did not fall into place. This is not the fault of these individuals but it is the Iraqi way. The above indivuals have been a Godsend to me and my family and I truly thank them. At least in our Country we have the freedom to debate which is a big difference from bashing. I do wish you the best with your investment.

I stand corrected. You are right. I guess my own frustration is showing through. I have learned valuable lessons on this site, and many others over the years. I was referring to predictions of an RV/RI. There are many people who have worked, tirelessly, at bringing information to us all, and I am forever grateful to them. I've been bashed a lot for my views and in the beginning I took it to heart. Many a night I tossed and turned over something someone wrote in a response to a post I made. Now I've been in this a little while and I've come to realize that it is out of frustration that people bash one anoher. It is right that they question the guru's, it is right that they question the validity of this investment. They have been led down the garden path time and time again by the gurus. More dates and rates have come and gone since i've been in this than I care to remember. Expectations are elevated by the gurus everyday and everyday there is the big let down. Again, It is right for them to question this investment. And while they are at it they should also question why they keep on believing the koolaid that is fed to them on a daily basis.

They probaby got into like the rest of us did, someone they knew, a family member or a friend, believed the hype that the gurus spouted and they were so excited about the fact they were going to become millionairs any day now that they just had to tell their best friend or another family member. So now we have two people that are let down. And because the guru's spout this hype every day of the week it just multiplys and the list goes on and on.

This is the best thing to have happened to the dealers since the invention of the calculator! Is it any wonder that people are frustrated? If you told me to buy this today and wait 5 years or so and I'd have a chance to double or even triple my money, I would buy and wait, no hype, no frustration, just wait and if in 5 years or so if it didn't pan out.....oh well! But noooooooo on these sites you have people who are seemingly in the know and also some very smart cookies who can make pretty graphs, who are telling you sorry it didn't happen today, but the next date that it is sure to happen is next Friday ! And you tell them that week after week! Well you have them on the hook don't you?

I don't get angry anymore, I am resigned that maybe it won't happen at all. Afterall, there is nothing, and I have researched this, that says they have to RV. You have a lot of people that are hurting economically and are hoping that this rv will save them because other than this, there probably is nothing to save them. It's a shame some people have decided to profit from others misery.

So don't get angry when they bash, they are frustrated and where else are they going to voice that frustration? They are going to voice it where others will perhaps agree or at least understand.

For all of you guys out there that are frustrated, you are not alone! But what can we do? I'll tell you. You go to work or look for work, you pretend that you never heard the word dinar. Take care of yourselves, take care of your families, go apply for assistance if you need to. The last resort is, cash in the dinar if you need to pay the rent! It's going to take awhile and you still have time before any rv. Take it easy and remember there was a life before Dinar.

My two cents worth , while this is entirely hypothetical , For example ; here in the US you can purchase the Mexican peso , however no one business or store would likely take it . While they all take US dollars , now suppose I am a street vender and I know that the Mexican Peso is going to increase next week a thousand fold. I could buy peso's that nobody really wants for : one dollar and then next week I could sell them for ten dollars each , in that case I would buy as many as I can afford . So for all of the people that are beating up dealers for being in business , back off they are providing a service you have choices and they are doing nothing wrong. I suppose the hype is a little misleading , but then so is a going out of business sale , so is drive it in drag it in , tow it in car sales , you do not have to be a rocket scientist. Further more the intel has a certain entertainment value and their are many people on this sight and others that are really sincere. Guessing when anything is going to happen is just that a guess , the government of Iraq is not doing anything on our schedule and all we are is spectators in the peanut gallery. I am a retired appliance Service technician and that qualifies me for nothing ! I think this is the real deal and I hope and pray that everone uses a lot of god given common sense and restraint ! It is important to me to thank all of the (Guru's) that at least are sincere and honest , as they devote a lot of time and money to acquire and share useful info , so please as a family be kind , patient , and grateful. I, in no way, meant to tear down the dealers. I am an American and believe wholeheartedly in a free market society. Many on here were wanting to know why we keep hearing the predictions over and over. I was merely helping them to understand how some of the dealers and pumpers work. Hey, more power to them. I think they would be better served to try honesty rather than deception. But that is their right. And, as I said before, I did not mean to lump everyone together. There are some on here who give us valuable information. To them I say, THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE.

Am I to understand that you expect to be posting here for another 3 to 8 years? I will pray for your stamina. I certainly wish I had half your patience. :-)
