Al-Rusafa Felony: Two-year imprisonment for a counterfeit currency trafficker

The Rusafa Criminal Court issued on Tuesday,  a two-year imprisonment sentence against a counterfeit currency trafficker east of the capital, Baghdad.
 
A statement by the Supreme Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the Rusafa Criminal Court issued a two-year severe imprisonment sentence against a counterfeit currency trafficker east of the capital, Baghdad.”
 
 
"The accused was found in possession of a counterfeit amount of currency amounting to (642) twenty-five thousand Iraqi dinar notes,” The statement added.
 
"The ruling was issued against him in accordance with the provisions of Article 52/1/A of the Central Bank of Iraq Law No. 56 of 2004,” It pointed out .

Why would they counterfeit 25,000 dinar note? For god's sake , It is still a worthless currency , isn't it. Hmm....just wonder can a delarue machine check the originality of Iraq dinar ( whether it is a counterfeit one or not ) when this baby pops one day??

the person had about 16 million iqd  , chicken feed compared to what iran was counterfeiting and exchanging for usd thru the corrupt state banks, irans note of choice was the 10k iqd note , im not a counterfeiter 🤣 but typically the most common note to fake is the one used the most in circulation .... i dont think the fake notes can duplicate the security features correctly or ( the smelly pink paper ) but have wondered about the serial numbers on the notes.......waiting

The corrupt state banks? So this is the only bank that can trade fake dinars for USD when this baby pops one day. No wonder, the currency traffickers who like to counterfeit Iraq dinar get wealthy very easy ( easy money and a high risk job if got caught by the police ). Wow... I didn't know there is a bank that can accept fake dinars before.
