REMEMBER, no one really  knows what will happen, or when.  They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... :twothumbs: RON

Militia Man  Do we believe they're gonna fund projects at 1310 to 1300 or even 1320?  Absolutely not.  I don't think anybody believes that because the math doesn't work.

Frank26  When the dollar rate goes down the dinar automatically goes up.  It's reciprocal.  It's the opposite.  It's a teeter...totter.  It's equilibrium to balance things out...

Kaperoni   Until Iraq diversifies their economy, gets away from oil dependence,  becomes an exporting country, nothing is going to happen with the dinar. But they now have a 3-year window to accomplish this. So we watch and wait.

Militia Man  Article: "Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed on Saturday that the development road project will turn Iraq into a country open to the world. It sure looks like the the PM is set to take Iraq into the international world of business and commerce.  The "Development Road Project" is no small task.  It is going the be a regional and global issue from here on out...

Nader From The Mid East  We're going to be the first one in the world/biggest seller in the world of oil.  We can tell you we're gonna own the most gold.  We can tell you we're gonna own the most reserve...It's true but the true story is are we sovereign yet We are not.   You know what you do?  You gotta ask your government to give us our sovereignty 100% and you'll see things will change any minute.

Walkingstick  The HCL is a number of laws within a law...there are many parts and they all equal a new exchange rate.  The new exchange rate is the reason for the proper distribution of the proceeds to the citizens from the HCL rights.  The distribution of the HCL is a line item.  The New exchange rate is a line item...

Same old pepperoni. If oil was the only thing they had they could still RV under the principle of fractional banking and the GROWING GLOBAL DEMAND FOR OIL.

Just because 19 people in the US have electric cars, it doesn't mean the demand for OIL isn't rising - BECAUSE IT IS. Underdeveloped countries are getting into oil in a big way, add the war in Ukraine, oil demand is at a premium.

Not that they should not diversify their economy, or even be self-sufficient - that though does not diminish the fact the oil revenue will be strong for years to come.

The Oil 2023 medium-term market report forecasts that based on current government policies and market trends, global oil demand will rise by 6% between 2022 and 2028 to reach 105.7 million barrels per day (mb/d) – supported by robust demand from the petrochemical and aviation sectors.
