The Directorate of Unified Card Affairs in the Ministry of Interior will soon begin converting the residence card into an electronic one.
The Deputy Director General of National Card Affairs, Brigadier General Muhammad Sadiq, told Al-Sabah that "the decision falls within the second phase of the national project for the unified card, and it will be through entering the information within the citizen's registration in the card database," adding that "the first phase of the national project." For the unified card, it includes creating a database for the citizen, and giving him a national number that does not repeat.
And he indicated that the information centers in Baghdad and the governorates are linked to a major information center that feeds all of these centers, and in the event of a switch to the electronic card, these centers will feed the Directorate of Card Affairs with the address of the new housing and enter it within the citizen database registered according to the national number granted to him through the unified card, noting. That the address of the residence is variable and will be within the database of the Directorate exclusively, that is, it is found within the information of the unified card that appears or the chip on the card.
Sadiq noted that if a certain entity applies for a citizen's residence, the address is granted through obtaining the approval of the Director-General exclusively by submitting an application and needs, noting that the national number is the key to obtaining all the information that was saved in the Directorate's database.

Planning determines the mechanism of deduction from the nominal salary of employees

The Ministry of Planning confirmed, on Tuesday, the completion of the work of the job number platform, and while it specified the deduction mechanism and its duration from the nominal salary, it confirmed that the launch of the project depends on one procedure.   

  

  

  

A spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, told the official agency, and “Nas” followed him (August 2, 2022), that “the job number is an electronic platform that includes detailed data on all Iraqi state employees,” noting that “the Ministry of Planning has started to establish the platform through a decision of the Council of Ministers.” The ministers issued in 2017 were not completed during that period, and it was completed at the beginning of 2021.”  

He pointed out that "data of more than 3 million and 250 thousand employees have been entered so far," explaining that "there will be a 1% deduction from the employee's nominal salary for one time when he obtains the job number, and the deduction will be made again by 1%, in the event that The employee is promoted.  

He added, "The Ministry of Planning has completed its work with the job number project, which is now in its final stages, and launching work on the platform and linking it to salaries depends on the issuance of a decision by the Council of Ministers."

The Directorate of Unified Card Affairs announced, on Sunday, new procedures to facilitate the registration of the largest number of citizens in the national project for the unified card.  

  

  

  

The Assistant Director-General for National Card Affairs at the Ministry of Interior said in a statement to the official newspaper, followed by "Nas" (August 7, 2022): "The ministry, within the second phase of the national project for the unified card, intends to open offices to register citizens who live in a governorate, but their souls are within a governorate." Others".  

  

He added that "there will be two offices in Baghdad, the first in Karkh and the second in Rusafa, in addition to opening one office for each governorate."  

  

He stressed that "the procedure will ease the review of citizens to go to the governorate in which they are registered, and in which their record will remain after registration on the unified national card," noting that "the directorate is working on completing the first phase of the project. 98% of it was achieved, as all civil status identity directorates in the country were closed and their work shifted from paper to electronic, with the exception of eight departments in Nineveh Governorate.
