ARTICLE:  The Kurdistan Regional Government announced, today, Thursday, that it is seeking to reach satisfactory solutions with the federal government regarding the oil & gas law, while indicating that there are positive understandings with the central government regarding the budget law for the current year.   Government spokesman Jutiar Adel said, during a press conference, that “the regional government is committed to the provisions of the constitution,” noting that “there are good understandings between the central & regional governments, especially with regard to the issue of the budget law for the current year.”

The more Sudani draws power away from Maliki, the better. Sudani ascending, Maliki descending.   I like it.

 Lots of arrests of corrupt politicians in Iraq, today.   Maliki was not one of them.   The mischief goes on.

ARTICLE:  "Money laundering operations devoured much of Iraq’s financial imports throughout the post-2003 Maliki years" Salah Hassan Baban said.   During the past days, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein headed a high-ranking economic & banking delegation on an official visit to Washington, during which he discussed a number of files that were described as “important”, including those related to the development & re economic form of monetary policy & facing current challenges at the monetary & banking levels.   What these measures reflect in terms of reforming the banking system by combating corruption & money laundering.    The US also welcomed these moves on the sidelines of a meeting between Brian Nelson, Assistant Secretary of the UST & the Governor of the CBI, Ali Al-Alaq, in Istanbul earlier this month.    The US official acknowledged Iraq’s “unwavering” dedication to improving compliance standards to combat money laundering & terrorist financing & offered continued cooperation in modernizing the banking sector.

Cause malarky is the big boss and noone dares to catch him because he already give a nice bribe to keep their mouth shut and he will threaten to kill all their families if they try to open their mouths.
