A Parliamentary Interpretation Of The Outputs Of The UNAMI Statement.

Independent MP Salah Zaini confirmed, on Monday, that the statement of the United Nations Mission “UNAMI” today, regarding the political situation in Iraq, will be a strong motivation for forming a government.

In an exclusive interview with a news agency, Zinni said, “This interest on the part of UNAMI will motivate & generate a greater desire to resolve this file & that there is a need to move in this context.”

Zinni continued, “The file of the political agreement & the dialogue of all parties will be a political incentive & there are confirmed indications that the file of forming a government will be resolved within a few days.”

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi revealed today, Monday, that he had received a request signed by 170 deputies to hold a session to elect the president of the republic.

A parliamentary source told a news agency: “Al-Mandalawi received a request signed by 170 deputies to hold a session to elect the president of the republic next Wednesday.”

He added, “Al-Mandlawi promised that the request would be discussed & decided upon by the parliament’s presidency.”

The political analyst, Sabah Al-Ugaili, warned against Iraq’s return to UN tutelage, in the event the political parties fail to choose the President of the Republic and form the new government.

 

Al-Ugaili told Al-Maalouma, “The Kurds are trying to link the file of the Presidency of the Republic to the Shiite house and the agreements on the new prime minister, while the Shiites have made up their minds to choose Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani for the position of prime minister.”

ARTICLE:  Why have a new 20,000 dinar note?

Why issue it if there is a plan to conduct the project to delete the zeros in the very near future anyhow?  Why go through all the work and expense?  So, I called the CBI & did my weekly update with my contact. What I was told is that the 20,000 dinar note will be used as part of the long-term banking system for international exchanges & payments only & that when the project to delete the zeros does happen the note will be voided out & taken out of common circulation…
