Remember, no one really  knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... :twothumbs:RON

*** Petra  The people [citizens] know what's happening and they're begging for it...there's a huge movement to get that rate changed because that launches everything...The rate is going to come out before the budget...

*** Frank26  The topic of the changing of the exchange rate is on the lips of the government, the CBI and of you citizens now in the streets.  Everyone knows what is about to happen so everyone is talking about it and everyone is demanding it...

January is fast coming to an end and that "window" doesn't seem to be open even just a little bit. These Guru's will be saying the same garbage next year as well. no doubt. BUT, BUT, BUT,  WE  ARE  CLOSER  THAN  WE  HAVE  EVER  BEEN  BEFORE  ! ! !

Ron, here's my question and my reason for hanging on.  When the dinar was torn to nothing how many rich citizens had $$$ in dinar value to be shredded to nothing. Have they lived to hang on.? I mean they went from $3 + to $000. There's got to be  $$ people holding on for reinstated $$$. ?

It would appear so to me ... the wealthy were still "realitively" well off compared to the average citizen after the devaluation. They exchanged their old IQD for the new 2003 IQD based on the designated ratio (Saddam or Kurdish dinars). I believe they're holding on just like we are. EO 15303 just gave American Citizens the rights to invest and own as an Iraqi citizen, and protected the oil revenues from confiscatrion by war claims. I hope this answers your question. Thanks - RON
