yota691
US State Department: Washington will continue to train Iraqi forces Al Hurra - Washington August 29, 2021 The US Secretary praised the efforts of the Iraqi government to hold free and fair elections On Saturday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken reiterated Washington's long-term commitment to Iraq's stability, strength and prosperity. In a call with Iraqi President Barham Salih, Blinken reiterated that the task of defeating ISIS has not ended, but has turned into a new stage based on strengthening the capabilities of the Iraqi security forces. The State Department confirmed in a statement that the United States, as the leader of the international coalition against ISIS, will continue to train, activate and advise Iraqi forces. The US State Department revealed that Blinken expressed his belief that the deep and multifaceted partnership with Iraq serves the American people. The US Secretary commended the Iraqi government's efforts to hold free and fair elections on October 10, and noted the US Government's support for the UNAMI Election Observation Team and the European Union Observer Mission. And the US President, Joe Biden, announced at the end of last July, during the reception of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, that the United States would end by the end of the year its “combat mission” in Iraq to begin a “new phase” of military cooperation with this country. The United States deploys 2,500 soldiers in Iraq out of 3,500 members of the international coalition forces to combat the Islamic State. Since the beginning of the year, about fifty attacks have targeted US interests in Iraq, especially the US embassy in Baghdad and Iraqi military bases that include Americans, and the Baghdad and Erbil airports, in attacks often attributed to Iraqi pro-Iran factions. Washington launches strikes in response to these attacks, the last of which was on June 29, when it bombed the sites of Iraqi militias backed by Iran at the Syrian-Iraqi border. Putting all the blame in advance on Iraqi fighters. They are teeing it up for another cut and run. Blinken is disastrous and needs to resign! Biden should be impeached for his terrible “plan” to get people out of Afghanistan. Can’t say it’s all his fault though, I believe he has dementia and has no clue what is going on. He is no more than a puppet right now.
