A representative source said, on Monday, that the Parliamentary Finance Committee's negotiations with the Vice President of the Region Qubad Talabani will be the last because he has full powers, indicating that if the region does not show flexibility, Parliament will resort to voting on the budget by majority.
The source said in a statement to / the information /, that “the Parliamentary Finance Committee and the regional delegation that arrived in Baghdad yesterday evening will hold a decisive meeting today, to reach an agreement on the region’s share of the budget and implement its obligations in accordance with what has been approved in the budget,” indicating that “ Talabani and his accompanying delegation possesses full powers.
The source added, "In the event that an agreement is reached between the Finance Committee and the delegation, we will make amendments to the special tables with regard to the region, and conversely, the budget will be submitted to the Presidency of Parliament to be presented to vote by an absolute majority."
