Baghdad today _ Baghdad

The leader of the victory coalition, Aqeel al-Rudaini, said today, Sunday, that the United States has prepared for a strategic dialogue with Iraq for a while, while it is trying to achieve two important goals during the upcoming dialogue, which begins on June 10.

Aqil al-Rudaini said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "America prepared for months of the June negotiations and brought in specialists in various fields, and is trying to achieve two goals of its negotiations with Iraq, namely, staying in the region first and Iran's second elimination."

Al-Rudaini added, "Iraq is linked to wide relations with neighboring countries, including Iran, and there are borders that reach more than 1,200 km, commercial transactions and major interests, so our dealings with all neighboring countries cannot be stopped."

The leader of the victory coalition said, "The upcoming strategic dialogue negotiations between Baghdad and Washington will not be long, and the first round may extend for more than a day, and other rounds will follow."

And a source familiar with, on Saturday (06 June 2020), revealed three axes that Iraq will discuss with the United States of America in the upcoming and scheduled dialogue on the tenth of this month.

The semi-official Al-Sabah newspaper quoted an official source as saying, "There are 3 main axes that will be discussed in the Iraqi-American meeting that will take place on the eleventh of this month."

He added, "One of these axes is the affirmation of supporting Iraq militarily in its war with ISIS gangs, and its pledge to protect foreign facilities operating in the country."

The source pointed out, "Iraq wishes to support it healthily in the next stage in the field of fighting the Corona virus, given the seriousness of this virus and the fragility of the internal situation in the country."

He suggested that "the dialogue that will take place through the television circuit for a period of 2-3 hours will focus on political support and conditions in the region and how Iraq can play a role in it."

And the source indicated that "this dialogue will be a prelude to new dialogues and a clear platform for exchanging views on issues of the future of the American forces in Iraq and other important issues."

Political analyst Karim El-Khikani, said that the parliament’s failure to stop the passing of Fouad Hussein as foreign minister will enhance the survival of the American forces inside Iraq , pointing out that the Kurds are among those who reject the American exit from Iraq.

Al-Khikani said in a statement to "Information", that "the deputies' statements regarding standing against Fouad Hussein and not passing it inside Parliament were merely air in a network, where the Kurds got their aim and it may be a gateway to restore the idea of separating the region from Iraq."

He added, "The presence of Fouad Hussein in the post of foreign minister will support the American presence in Iraq, especially since there will be meetings between Baghdad and Washington in the half of this June, and the Kurdish minister may be the godfather of these discussions, especially as the region supports the presence of American forces.Inside Iraq.”

He pointed out that "America will try to pressure the negotiating committee, in order to ensure the survival of its forces and win the talks in advance before they take place," noting that "Iraq will face great public anger in the coming days in the event of Al-Kazemi violating the parliament's decision to remove American forces from Iraq."

Close to him: Ahmadinejad prepares to run for the next presidential election race in 2021

6th June, 2020

Isfandiar Abdullahi, a political activist close to former Iranian President Ahmadinejad, announced that the latter is working to pave the way for the upcoming presidential elections in 2021.

Abdullahi, a member of the Central Committee of the Republican Party and head of its Public Relations Committee, told a reporter for the "Young Journalists Club" that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is likely to run for the presidential elections in Iran in 2021.

He stressed that one of the conditions under which Ahmadinejad can enter the electoral scene is the "endorsement of his eligibility" by the Guardian Council, adding: "Therefore, those close to Ahmadinejad are trying to prepare to support his eligibility," and he continued: "I cannot explain more than that."

He claimed that Ahmadinejad was enjoying a "good" position among the fundamentalists, saying: "Some of Ahmadinejad's administrators are in the current parliament ... so he is likely to stand for election."

Ahmadinejad was running for the 12th presidential elections (May 19, 2017), contrary to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's recommendation not to run, and on May 20, 2017, Iran's election commission announced the names of the candidates whose eligibility was supported by the Guardian Council and the name Ahmadinejad was not between The names Hassan Rouhani won in it.

The Iranian News Agency, quoting to the Iranian Election Commission, said at the time that "the Guardian Council supported the eligibility of 6 people to contest the presidential elections."

The highlight of the Iranian Guardian Council’s decision was its refusal to nominate former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the sixth president of Iran, and he held this position from 2005 to 2013, and his ally Hamid Buqai was also rejected. But in 2020, Ahmadinejad supporters were able to sit on a number of seats in the new Iranian parliament, most notably the new deputy and former economy minister Shamseddin Hosseini.

A number of figures close to Ahmadinejad claim that he is very popular with people, but the fundamentalist movement prevents him from returning to power.  In an article published entitled "Destruction," Ali Akbar Joanfekr, former director of the official IRNA news agency and media advisor to Ahmadinejad, claimed that some wanted to destroy Ahmadinejad to prevent his return to the executive branch, implying implicitly Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's bid to run in the 2021 elections.

A security source said earlier today that "angry demonstrators are trying to storm the Najaf governorate building amid a demand to fire the governor of Najaf.

Witnesses said that the protesters of the sit-in Habboubi / Nasiriyah square went to the Court of Appeal of Dhi Qar after the deadline for holding the demonstrators killed accountable.

The United States imposes new sanctions on Iran

The United States is expanding the list of sanctions against Iran

8th June, 2020

The United States on Monday expanded its sanctions list targeting Iran, by imposing restrictions on more than 100 ships and two companies linked to Iran's oil production sector.

The US Treasury stated that it had included 123 Iranian ships involved in the transportation of fuel and "ESAIL SHIPPING LIMITED" and "ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN SHIPPING LINES" operating in this sector in the sanctions list.

Close to Al-Kazemi: There are no negotiations with the United States, but a "dialogue"

123861.jpg?watermark=4

Policy 06/2020 17:08 351 Editor: gf

Baghdad today - Baghdad

Harith Hassan, who is close to the Prime Minister, Mustafa al-Kazemi, said on Monday (8 June 2020) that there are no negotiations with the United States, but "dialogue", contrary to the term used by the media, to refer to the strategic dialogue between the two countries in the middle of this month.

"There is no such thing as a (negotiating team) that will negotiate with the United States on June 10-11," Hassan said, via a post on his wallet on Facebook.

He explained: "There will not be (negotiations), but a launch of a multi-level dialogue and issues between the two sides, and there is in diplomacy a big difference between (dialogue) and (negotiations)."

He concluded by saying: "I am not a negotiator or a member of (a negotiating team) that does not exist."

And a source familiar with, on Saturday (06 June 2020), revealed three axes that Iraq will discuss with the United States of America in the upcoming and scheduled dialogue on the tenth of this month.

The Salvation Front calls for the involvement of political forces in the dialogue with Washington and stresses: The American withdrawal was a strategic mistake

123870.jpg?watermark=4

Policy 06/2020 2020 18:15 169

Baghdad today _ Baghdad

Today, Monday, the Salvation and Development Front called on the government to involve the political forces in the forthcoming dialogue with the United States, while noting that the US withdrawal from Iraq in 2011 was a strategic mistake that contributed to the fall of provinces, however, by ISIS.

The Salvation Front said, in a statement that it received (Baghdad Today), a copy of it, that "negotiations about the future of Iraqi-American relations and after they are at the doorstep, a word of honor must be honored in the interest of Iraq, and its goal is to be inclusive of the will of the Iraqis without incursion or imposing agendas not Consistent with the country's interest and national values. "

The statement added, "The front expresses its opinion very clearly through, and representation in negotiations with the American side and given its importance should be a expression of the political leaderships of all components of the people, and that representation at the highest levels is keen to form an honest and careful opinion on the interest of Iraq and its people."

The front statement continued, "One of the most prominent mistakes that marred the political process and since the change is the attempt to uniquely identify important strategic decisions, whether political, security or economic, and this mistake led to a series of mistakes and measures that dismantled the united people and struck its basic interests. Therefore, care must be taken to repeat the approach Himself, "noting that" in the agreement concluded in 2008 with the American side, an important item was mentioned, which is protecting the political system in Iraq, and in front of some people's desire to defect, control and transgression, the American side was silent, which encouraged the advocates of exclusivity to target important leaders from the basic components of all its guilt. She did not agree to their exclusivity, such as Mr. Tariq Al-Hashemi, Mr. Rafie Al-Issawi, Mr. Athel Al-Nujaifi and others.

He continued, "The American withdrawal from Iraq in 2011 was a strategic mistake, as long as we alerted him of its risks to the security of Iraq, so he led this withdrawal as well as bad management and desires that are not based on the right or law or law, all of which led to the fall of basic provinces in Iraq. Under the ugliest occupation and domination of the terrorist organization ISIS, today, our interest as Iraqis is not to repeat the adventure in the future of Iraq, and it suffices for us that millions of our people have suffered the harshest and most infamous bitterness. And their families. "

The statement stressed, "Any discussion of foreign interference in Iraq should include everyone. There is an apparent military presence and there is a veiled military presence, and there are agendas that never fail to announce themselves and their goals, which are in any case hostile to the interests of Iraq and the unity of its people, so it should be clear Discussing Iranian influence and its arms is an Iraqi demand with distinction, away from attempts at courtesy and silence on the Iraqi right to satisfy this or that party.

The front saw, "Cooperation and development of the relationship with the American side is very important, especially since Iraq is experiencing a series of crises and challenges, and it is most in need of effective international support that America alone can mobilize for it," noting the need for an "explicit and strong negotiating position, and its strength can only be achieved by Harmony with the interests of the people and benefit from American support in dealing with the causes of disasters caused by uncontrolled weapons, corruption, terrorism, and militias that wreak havoc on the country’s security and threaten citizens without deterrence or fear. ”

"In order to establish a strategic relationship that includes interests, one must focus on the capabilities of the United States to put pressure on regional states in order to provide assistance to Iraq under its difficult circumstances, and this requires an Iraqi position with distinction, a position more pride, originality and dignity than a pure courtesy on Calculating the people or sacrificing their rights in order to satisfy parties exercising public or hidden influence over decision-makers. "

The Salvation and Development Front concluded, "The interest of Iraq is not achieved by a Shiite political will only, nor will it be achieved by a political Sunni will, nor will it be achieved by a Kurdish or Turkmen will or any other component. The interest of Iraq lies in a unified people, united by the values of citizenship and not religion, sect and race. So do Who is a preacher? Is he a respondent
