I visited Zimbabwe for the 1st time in 1986, a mere 7 years after the Black revolution ( which lasted for quite long) won....People appeared to be happy and situation looked great...No violence, a  real feeling of safety, people were kind  even if you were white ( not so common in a Country where  the local population was under apartheid regime for a long time)
