Texstorm
President D-Rex Trump amazes me with the cross section of talent from all over the United States. We have never had this much wisdom amassed in one place to guide this country. Every thing we knew about government and how it was run or not run has just changed. These all are doers who will not take no for an answer ! Congratulations Attorney General Sessions ! Next !...................... Goooood morning DV !
429
The big take-away for me this week were the votes for Senator Sessions and Ms. Devos. In the case of the latter, 2 Republican Senators, Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME) voted against Devos. In the case of Sen. Sessions, Senator Joe Mauchin (D-WV) voted "aye." It strikes me that we are starting to see some adults enter the room. For whatever reasons these Senators cast their votes, it obviously wasn't along partisan, party lines. This is the way these things are supposed to happen. These Senators voted for what they thought was best. These Senators represented their constituents and not their political party. Sure they were elected as a Democrat or as a Republican or as an Independent, but they were elected to represent their constituents and not Chuck Schumer or Mitch McConnell. There seems to be a crack in the armor of partisanship and maybe, hopefully we will see that expand to the point of witnessing real, constructive debate and not a bunch of name calling. I would hope that both of these folks confirmed for their new positions will do the right things in the best interest of the country and not some political ideology. I'm sure they will. My ,. Rant over. Edited February 9, 2017 by 429 the electronic editor didn't like a word
