The project consists according to previous comments by Iraqi officials, the stages are (building-operating-delivery) for the pipe extended from the modern city to the port of Aqaba, with the installation of pumping stations along the pipeline.

Also it will create a crude oil depot in the port of Aqaba and piers for loading oil tankers, with developing a gas pipeline facilities to pipe oil, and a third tube up to the blue oil refinery (east) to ensure that the need for Jordan after the operation of the project to import oil.

Jordanian Minister of Energy: 2017 will begin the first phase transmission line oil from Basra to Aqaba
