All I can say is told ya so......been saying the counterfeit bills are another reason for them to be pulling in the larger bills with the three zero's.....just because it was ONCE the most secure currency in the world doesnt mean it will always be....thats why the US comes out with new bills every so often....when you have enough people sitting down with the only purpose to counterfeit something for profit, it WILL happen....another reason why i dont touch ebay for buying dinar....hope none of you got screwed!! The influx of counterfeit currency has been established here on DV before ... In fact, it's is traded on their black market. They know what it is and they collect it ... there has to be a reason such as ... Uncle Sugar promises to fix it when some poor vendor "accidentally" gets stuck with some bad paper! Ask yourself ... why deal in something that you can get for cents 3-12 if memory serves me ... which should carry a prison sentence unless there was a big up side somewhere?

These counterfeits were of poor to good quality ... HP and photo copies to actual attempts at printing the bills.

You can spot counterfeit bills if you know the security features and you check them ... this article will explain how if you have not already done that. If you do it regularly you will be an expert in no time. Having a "bad bill" passed on you shouldn't happen if you follow the steps.

Agreed Doc31 those De La Rue machines are good currency counting machines

but as far as authenticating dinar they only look at the blacklight ink on the notes.

You would be better off look for all of the feature to ensure you have legal tender.

Exactamundo Jimanita, we are on the same page. Crooks smart enough to counterfeit are bound to be expecting a big return on their reproductions, else why would they risk prison for peanuts?

I think if you read between the lines...somebody on the inside (probably Maliki) knows something....printing $$$... and is planning for the rv as well. Actually...that is good news for us if true...we'll see.
