Doc31
Perhaps this will shed some light on the situation. I have a small group in SW Florida. I received an email from a confused member this morning entitled "What's Up Doc". Below is the email and my reply. It fits the circumstances, the math, and has links.*********************************************************************************MorningI copied this from DV and checked the sites below… Did someone move the decimal point and we missed it?I'm used to seeing a comma where there is a decimal point.Whats your opinion? Davefound these links on another site, take a look.1. http://www.lookatvietnam.com/ Right Hand Side mid page2. http://www.vietnamfe...fo/maininfo.php German Site? – Scroll to the bottom3. http://www.vnnnews.net/ Half way down the page – Right Hand Side4. http://smartfinance....c-dai-han-.html Underneath the picture in the center of the page5. http://www.phucuongg...gory&id=3&sort= Right side of the page at the top6. http://eng.trustbank...&sdID=30&stID=1 The Scroll on the LEFT ****************************************************************************************DaveYou are correct ... in many currency postings (for all sorts of currencies) a decimal point is often used instead of a comma. You will freqently see it on ebay and barnstormers for european sales. Wait until you see a comma UP ABOVE the numbers as in many Arabic articles ... your brain had better have had some coffee ... mine went "tilt" the first time I saw that. The problem in this instance is that all of the relationships to all of the other currencies are preserved BUT MOST CONFUSING OF ALL IS THAT IF YOU DIVIDE 1 BY THOSE NUMBERS THEY ALL TRANSLATE TO JUST OVER A NICKEL for the VND!I did notice that a couple of them are the same website imbed ... in other words the external source is the same and will list exactly the same numbers. Just replace the decimal with a comma and it's pretty much the same rate that it has been.AGAIN ... I am totally prepared to be wrong ... Go RV of the VND!PeaceDoc

Yep, you've got it ... 1 divided by 26 is $.0385~ If you anticipate it going to a nickel it would be 20 ... 1 divided by 20 is $.05100 would be $.0150 would be $.0233.33 would be $.0325 would be $.04I don't disagree that it has not done this yet ... simply ready your brain for when it does!! GO RV VND!
