Maggie123
What it boils down to is Congress is playing a game of semantics and rhetoric - and no one really knows the rules. In the end, it doesn't matter if your a conservative or a liberal - a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Tea Partier. I think we can all agree that we all lose. That... we can absolutely agree on Tankdude.
MillieChatham
The AHA was passed Nd became law. It went to the Supreme Court. It was upheld. It went into effect yesterday. These are facts, folks. It cannot be changed by shutting down the government. It can be amended later. In t he meantime our state has laid off 943 military non essential employees and closed the commissaries. Our mechanic and good friend who works at a large Firestone store announced that their business plummeted Monday and Tuesday. A other friend who works at Starbucks reported the same. Our daughter, who works, for NOAA, was furloughed. Her husband has a good job so they will be fine - for a while, but they count on her salary. And so the ripple effect has begun. How many will suffer is unknown. I spoke with our insurance agent yesterday who has been in the business forever. She advised that we should not worry because she didn't think our rates were going to be bad. So that is what I plan to do.

dontlop
There is a reason they are called Representatives. They are supposed to represent the people who voted for them. I applaud them for standing strong for their constituents. This will not hurt them regardless of how many times our dictator calls it the "Republican Shutdown". Most Americans are smart enough to see through his rhetoric. Notice that I said MOST. Some people would buy cheerios thinking they were doughnut seeds. We can't do anything for them. They are beyond help. Roadrunner Lol that was great Lol
