JC'ing..I don't get that from this. What I'm seeing is that the draft law for the protection of Iraqi products, from other articles, we know, has been read at least once in the HOR and the COM has made some amendments to this existing law from 2009.  So these COM minutes are stating they made an amendment and are sending it back to the House for another vote (second by all accounts, but I've seen articles stating that laws were not passed, then the  next day they're in the gazette).

Also, the tariff's law has been amended and recently uploaded (again) to the gazette. Mine and Buti's surmising's are that perhaps the COM wants to get this back to the House and quick like for another reading and vote, so we can get the tariff laws installed asap.

My concern is that sometimes I feel Maliki wants to be seen as doing the right thing, only to have a law he's been seen to "promote" get voted into law, but then has Mahmoud (his lackey in the SJC) overturn it. Almost as if saying "Hey, I did the right thing, I can't help it if the Supreme Head of the Judiciary doesn't like it"...blah blah blah.  We'll see. I'm hoping M is changing his tune, we're certainly seeing some evidence his party wants to push infrastructure through (again hope it's not to abscond with the money..but doubtful..too many "integrity" laws coming into play now) and we've also seen that Maliki's nephew, Haytham Jobouri was promoting the installation of the lower denoms into the economy. So, who knows? I agree with others in the community that Maliki needs to be seen actually getting something major accomplished before elections...still..I think he's an I-D-10-T, so it's anyone's guess IF he'll actually do something beneficial for the people.

I tend to be a Maliki pessimist..so, please forgive my "negativity"..I just think where he's concerned it's better to be "real" based on his past behavior (Iran puppet).
