THE MAKING OF A MOTHER

By the time the lord made mothers, he was into his sixth day working overtime. An angel appeared and said, "Why are you spending so much time on this one thing?. The lord said, Have you even read the spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not eleastic, have 200 moveable parts, all replaceable, run on black coffee for the most part with leftovers, have a lap that can hold three children at one time and it will disappear when she stands up, have a kiss ready that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart and have six pairs of hands."

The angel was astounded at the requirements for this one, "Six pairs of hands, no way now that would be funny, said the angel as he stood there. The lord replied, Oh, its not the hands that are the problem. It's the three pairs of eyes that mothers must have, and that's just on the standard model!. The angel said wow she will have to be fantastic to use all that. Yep, one pair of eyes to see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing even though she already knows. Another pair in the back of her head is to see what she needs to know even no one thinks she can. And the third pair is in the front of her head to look at an errant child and say that she understands and loves him or her without even saying a single word.

The angel said to the lord, "thats to much work for one day, why not finish up tomorrow. But i can't said the lord, i am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself, even when she is sick she will still feed a family of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old to stand in the shower without throwing water in the floor. The angel just kept looking at the woman then he reached out and touched her, with all that she is so soft.

The lord said yes, she is soft to have emotions and feelings but i have also made her tough to endure what life will throw at her and accomplish what she sets out to do. Will she be able to think said the angel, the lord smiled, not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason and negotiate when the need arises. The angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman's cheek, OOPs, it looks like this one has a leak, looks like you have packed to much into this one.

That's not a leak, that's a tear, now the angel was bewildered even more, what is a tear the angel said, The Lord said this is what i like most about the woman, A tear will be her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief and her pride this is her way of releasing her emotions.

The angel was most impressed, and shouted, You are a genious, Lord. You thought of everything for this one, You packed her full of everything needed then created a tear, "WOW". The lord looked at the angel and smiled , then he said, I'm afraid you are wrong on that, I created a woman, but she created a tear with all that i gave her.

This goes out to all Mothers whom the Lord our God has made to be a direct representative of his own heart. The care, the love, the emotional times that make us men love you. Some men will not admit it this is very true. When he put all this into a woman, he knew that she would have to be strong, durable, and lovable.
