Thank you for your testimonial.. When I was in the States ( I'm from Italy but visited many times and lived there for 1 yr ) I tried a few times to talk to People ( whenever I'd be told they had served in Vietnam) about that experience.... But they always politely declined ....

I'd be interested in hearing one day from someone who was there.. Mine is not a sick curiosity . Just a genuine will to try and understand what it was like for real...I could only see it and try to understand it through tv reports, news ( I was a kid at that time) and movies...

I have the full awareness that ( at various levels) it must have been one of those life-changing experiences which do mark an Individual,.

Umberto... one of the few movies I can not tear myself away from, if I bychance happen upon it !!! one of my favorites !!! Also Full Metal jacket, Saving Private Ryan and Blood Diamonds, for some reason these movies mesmorize (spelling ? ) me.
