I think if you put the xe.com statement in context with the numerous other things that have been officially said you will see the LOP idea is not going to happen. In addition, the best thing that could happen is the market exchange rate is floating because it will surely float upward!

ok this maybe a pipe dream... if a person has a self-directed ROTH IRA, and you have $5,000 in cash in your IRA, your custodian purchases +/- 5MM dinar for $5k, and then the dinar RVs 1:1 - you now have a tax free gain of $4,995,000???? I wish! -
also... are we assuming they have alot of Dinar in their possession?
