A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to speak with Ambassador Lewis Lucke. He managed and led U.S. support for Jordan's accession to the WTO. He also served under Bush as USAID Iraq Mission Director. I asked him what it would take to get Iraq into the WTO? He said "a lot of legislation" I didn't get the impression from him that it was imminent.

One could wonder how God could love and embrace His Church, after the Inquisition, and pedophile priests, and crosses burned in people's yards, and cruel divisiveness and hostility in defense of denominations and misunderstandings of doctrine. But He does. When I was young, my dad was a devout Lutheran who hated Jews, and had contempt for Israel. Martin Luther was anti-semetic and hostile toward Jews and Israel. You're most welcome. What I find a tad disconcerting is that he "guaranteed" the rate. $3.41 if I recall correctly. I only listened to the call twice, for about 30 seconds or a minute at a time. And I heard him use the word "guarantee" twice. He kind of tried to leave himself an out by saying 'if' that's what they need to balance the budget. Well, he goes on to explain how the budget needs to have a rate of $3.41 or whatever. It's disconcerting to me, because 1) This man is not an economic or financial authority in any shape or form 2) He could be right; but then again, his only authority in this matter is his own reasoning and opinions. 3) Guarantee? Really? So you're telling us that if it DOESN'T come out at the $3.41 rate, you'll cover our losses? It'll be interesting to see who ends up being the last guru standing. As far as I'm concerned, they can all sit down.

I didn't listen to it but for about a minute. I heard the part where he GUARANTEED THE RATE. At a buck, I'd cash in half a million and chill for the next couple of years, waiting for it to get up to a much better rate. At $0.10. I'd just as soon flush it down the toilet as hold onto it, but I'd cash in as little as I could possible manage until it reached a decent rate. It is sad that the CBI disagrees so pointedly with the gurus. What a shame that a bunch of dudes in another country who have absolutely nothing to do with it have been able to convince so many people that they know what's going to happen with the Iraqi currency.

LOL. I remember a million years ago when I was a "newbie". I must've fallen for every guru line in the book. That I know of, nobody ever made fun of me. Well, not to my face anyway. I remember calling my friend/pastor/fellow investor in March 2011 to tell him that Steve Irwin said it would definitely happen by whatever date he'd given as a "drop dead" date. I remember texting a bunch of my friends who'd also invested, because of some stupid guru nonsense, telling them "It's going to happen tomorrow! Thank you God!" We've probably all been there. I kind of miss being so trusting. I'm glad Shatwanee has a better place to learn and ask questions and talk about the RV than I did. You're welcome here, so far as I know, Shatwanee. By me anyway, I'm sorry some of the comments on your thread have been thoughtless and hurtful. We've all been there- I think sometimes we just forget about that.
