IMHO: Putin is not to be trusted or believed. The Russian presence and resulting war in Syria is all about two things. #1; A Russian Naval Base on the Mediterranean Sea #2; A new and more direct route for a Natural Gas Pipeline for the European market. Putin would walk into Iraq if he thought he could get away with it. Expect the opposite of what he says, watch what he does.
