Found this. https://earthsky.org/earth/what-keeps-earths-atmosphere-on-earth/ How does Earth keep its atmosphere? Posted by Deborah Byrd March 5, 2011 Earth’s atmosphere is only 1/1,200,000 the mass of Earth itself. So it is a very thin skin surrounding our planet. How does Earth hold on to this thin skin of atmosphere? The answer is gravity – the same force that keeps us anchored to Earth. And yet, although you might not realize it or think about it, Earth does continually lose some of its atmosphere to space. This loss occurs in the upper atmosphere, over billion-year time scales. Molecules in our atmosphere are constantly moving, spurred on by energizing sunlight. Some move quickly enough to escape the grip of Earth’s gravity. The escape velocity for planet Earth is a little over 11 kilometers per second – about 25 thousand miles an hour. If Earth were much less massive – say, as massive as Mars – gravity’s grip would be weaker. That’s one reason why Mars lost most of its original atmosphere. In the vicinity of our heavier Earth, where gravity is stronger than on Mars, not all particles are equally likely to escape. Light ones, like hydrogen and helium, typically move faster than heavier ones, like oxygen and nitrogen. The light atoms are more likely to reach escape velocity and escape to space. That’s why light molecules are rare in our atmosphere, in contrast to their abundance in the universe Still, all in all, Earth’s atmosphere is here to stay. And that’s a good thing because our atmosphere protects life on Earth in many ways. It absorbs harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun, helps keep Earth’s surface warm via the greenhouse effect, and reduces temperature extremes between day and night. Yay atmosphere! It keeps Earth livable. So, thanks to gravity, although some of Earth’s atmosphere is escaping to space, most is staying here. Deborah Byrd

Click the 3 dots and gently report your post. The mods may do it if flattered enough. The offer of money might help. I have yet to pay one but they have always come through for me. 😁

Time to put the kennels and the box fan in the laundry room, turn on the fan, drug the dogs, put them in their kennels, cover with blankets, close the door and ride this out. Happy New Year

I got to thinking. If this is true, we can apply it to everything we do short of business transactions. I read in one of these cases that licenses are granted for activities that would normally be considered business or illegal and therefore need regulating or registering. Marriage Birth certificate Conceal carry Buggy or horse activity Gun registration Hunting Fishing Bike registration Just to name a few. Years ago no license was required for any of these things. Many moons ago Bible were used by families to record Birth, Marriage, Death. Preachers/ Pastors signed the book to record these things. Then some bean counter figured a way to charge for these items. They wrote a law making them illegal activities, (Meaning not recognized by government) hence a license for just about every activity. My head hurts. My wife says I think too much.

I agree with you Ron. We should be prepared at all times. I found this on Wiki. I know GOD can change things at anytime. "Thanks to additional observations of Apophis, the risk of an impact in 2029 was later ruled out, as was the potential impact risk posed by another close approach in 2036. Until March 2021, however, a small chance of impact in 2068 still remained." I tried earlier to post this but could not. I see BW posted the same.

You think that will stop them? They will just change her birthplace. -
Two words. San Andrea's. Earthquakes are just as bad and just as unpredictable. California has so many fault lines it is not funny. We think the ground is solid until it starts moving. When I build things my peeps comment "That is not going anywhere" . I then say "If it does we have bigger things to worry about". We have had a few here in Id. The natives got all wonky but the California transplants just yawn and get over it.

Top photo.... Yes, 1,000 mph pulling 8 or 9 g's not many in the club that won't pass out. Bottom photo.... Equalized speed of no g's and you won't pass out. Same as a plane flight. You can't feel 450 MPH until you start to change direction or altitude.

Hello. Nobody vetted Ukraine. Billions of dollars spent over there. Zelensky even used proxies to buy two yachts worth 75 million dollar. https://www.naturalnews.com/2023-11-30-zelensky-buys-75m-luxury-yachts-using-proxies.html Great use of military or humanitarian aid. -
82 years ago brave men and women lost their lives for their country. This country owes a great debt of gratitude to them. May we never forget.
