Nice article DI. Carry on regardless I say. Put your country in order so the IQD can have real backing. We (small time IQD investors) are all risk takerstoo in varying degrees. This article correctly points out the big players appetite for it as the potential rewards are great and they have adapted to deal/mitigate/off-set most of the risk.

Hi All, Just received the following update from Gillian. Sounding a little more upbeat!! Hi folks, Quick update as I have a baby who is due to get her bottle. Lizzie a bit better today. They lifted some of the sedation an she coped ok. Still ventilated but doing fine. They hope to try and get her off that within the next 2 - 3 days. If all goes well they hope she will be fit for a general ward by next monday. Fingers crossed. The scan shows her kidneys are very badly bruised but they could not see any permanent damage at the min. They plan to repeat it later in the week when the swelling and bruising has gone down a bit more. She is going for an MRI - brain tomorrow to see if there is anything there. they are increasing the sedation over night to make her rest and they will reduce it a little again tomorrow for a wee while. Your prayers seem to be working thank you all so very much. Gillian and the rest of the family.

Nice uplifting post my friend....sometimes it is better to hold a candle for a friend than to dream or worry about we might or might not see with the IQD or when for that matter. Hey Pudge in answering this and your other question about dealers making "juice" you need to remember that Iraq is currently still under sanctions and their currency as such is not tradeable in the normal sense of say a country with a floated currency. The CBI and IMF fix the rate (its been 1170:1 for a while now) to sell the IQD. The licenced dealers approved by the USA (FED Reserve??) can sell and buy dinar but cannot hold it and sell in their own right under the conditions of their licence. If/when it RV's they must sell all the unsold IQD back to the CBI I think. Hence because of the risk and speculative nature of this currency the dealers fleece us a higher percentage...25-30% on buy/sell back. This is the way they make $ (mega $ even!!) and why they have pumpers pimping the dinar on various forums as this leads to more sales/extraordinary revenue... a cash cow for them!!
