You have to admit though, Walmart and the Gurus have quite a lot in common. Both are very good at ripping people off, they are both good for a laugh (just go hang out at your local Walmart and you will have one of the most amusing times, ever!) Both try to suck you in with a "sale", "Spend X amount and get X amount free!!". Feel free to add more!

It is a very novel idea, however you and everyone else on here know that none of these so called Gurus will actually bite on that offer. That is exactly what I was saying months ago in another thread about the new denoms and what monetary system it was to follow. I mean really, how hard it can it be to go 1 to 1 and just have the same bills and coins that the USA has but as Iraqi money, IF they are already so accustomed to using that money already? Just to reiterate what I stated about big banks...Come "cash in" time, I would suggest that EVERYONE that is invested in this NOT go to one of the big banks. Go to a Travelex site, a credit union (if they handle foreign exchanges) or somewhere other than the BIG 4. I know, it sounds like a paranoid claim, however if YOU one of the little people want to see this country become the nation it can be, then we need to send the financial institutions that have a death grip on it the message that we are not going to GIVE them anything any longer. Make a run on the banks, take your money away from them, and the giants will fall. Small business is what this country was built on, not the syndicate/conglomerate crap that is running rampant now. Just my two cents.

Yes, but in order for you to pay that bill "online", wouldn't you be required to have a bank account? I used to pay my bills online as well, however, I lost or rather gave up that luxury when I told Wells Fargo to Fack Off when they told me due to not having direct deposit into my checking account any longer (changed jobs), that I would need to "degrade" my checking account AND open a savings account where I WOULD NEED TO TRANSFER X AMOUNT each month to or from my checking account. I said thank you for the 22 years of business, give me all of my money right now, and have have a nice day!

Most, if not all international airports have a "Travelex" or similar foreign exchange counter. I have talked directly in person and on the telephone with a CSR for the one located at the Minneapolis Int'l airport and they both informed me that when "cashing in" the IQD that they would be more than happy to complete the transaction as long as the currency is "Trade-able and legit". As for the rate, of course they have no idea what it will be, as for the time of those conversations, of course it was at the same rate it is now. 1170.

I am a firm believer in crushing the monster that is big banking. I have operated without a bank account for quite some time, and it is not a difficult thing to do these days. As checks have become virtually a thing of the past, credit cards and their evil finance charges have caused more problems than good, and big banking mortgages that seem to care only about their bottom line and not you keeping your home, I have tossed them to the side and live by cash only. Cell phone bill, paid in cash. Car insurance, paid in cash. House, no mortgage as it is mine. All other bills such as power and water/gas I go to a CREDIT UNION and get a cashiers check that I have made out for the amount of the needed payment. I would much rather "give" my money to them than the BIG 4. I feel better about having my money at home, locked in a safe than in some fat cat's paws using it to manipulate things to his advantage. Take away YOUR money and they will have none. Making a "RUN" on the banks can be a good thing, but also a bad thing on the value of the USD. But, I would rather see the banks crumble and fall than watch them flush more American's hopes and dreams down the bowl. I think if we all did this, it would send a very clear message that things DO need to change.

The other day I started something in this thread that went way off path from the original post. I am here to not grovel, but apologize and ask the DV community to forgive and forget. I apologize to you Bondlady for criticizing you in the way that you have given us intel/knowledge of the impending RV. It is one of many faults that have, and I am sorry for singling you out of the other "Gurus" that Thug had mentioned in his post. I read your message and understood it, however I took it upon myself to criticize and pick apart that message because of a few errors or slang terms that I felt detracted from the message. You have always delivered solid intel to the DV community and the "others". My apologies to you, and to the rest of the DV community. Tis not an easy thing for me to do as I do believe strongly in presenting an "intelligent" piece of work for others to see. Bondlady, you are by far, the best Guru, RV intel gatherer, Iraqi decipher-er that the DV community has or could have. You say it like it is, no matter where you come from, what slang you use, what dialect you speak. I hear you, as do the thousand others here on DV. I have been put in my place, and I humbly apologize to you. To the rest of you that took part in the debate with me, I respect all of you, and all that you have said to me. That is the one thing I love about this "family", is that we can agree to disagree and still come back here the next day and continue with our debates/speculations/predictions....etc. etc. etc.. I enjoy a lot of the banter that happens here, and I am sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes with my last rant on grammar. I have not back pedaled on anything that I have said. It is not my fault that you misunderstood my point, multiple times. For everyone's information, yes I have a college degree, did take notes during lectures and for my own sake to achieve a high G.P.A. 3.8. However, I never presented those notes to the general public or my instructors as "finished work" as they were nearly impossible for anyone other than myself to decipher. That right there was my point. Present something to the masses that looks like you believe in it yourself by taking the time to prepare it properly. If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. So if it looks like a thrown together piece, and reads like it, well I hope you know what I mean with the analogy. I could really care less if I get negatives because I posted something that was my opinion of something posted in the rumor section. As for my "Harvard" educated opinions, obviously some people here agree with what I have to say, you my friend are not one of them however. I was stating nothing as a personal attack on Bondlady, just simply stating that if you wish people to believe the message that you are putting out there, it would benefit you to at least take the time and "sound" believable.
