  1. Hi Machine. How are you? IMMHO, fiat currencies will "Always fall" when gold goes up. Nature of the beast! Thanks for your post. Good luck to you and all. Go RV.
  2. Agreed. She's pretty good. No date and rate, just news and some speculation but that is given. I'm one of the few that got involved with this since 2003 and still holding strong. I predicted this for 10 years and I feel that we are very, very close now, compared to my 10 year prediction. This bubble has to pop soon and can't hold afloat too much longer while the gov keeps on receiving billions monthly and the common folk keep on begging for more bread. Thanks for your post. Go RV.
  3. Hey Luigi. Since most of us don't believe daily gurus and their daily premonitions, I would say eminent since it would be the opposite of what they say. In other words, smoke, mirrors and black holes. I hope I am right. LOL. Thanks for your post. Good luck to you and all. Go RV.
  4. Hello folks. In my most humble opinion, the only anomalies that can hold up a currency change, up or down, are what stop it backing it up many years ago. In other words, gold used to back currencies worldwide many moons ago. Today, corporations, promissory notes, the 9-1 lending scheme and a few other ones that I am not going to get into now, Perhaps later. There are also middle deviations that can dictate the timeline of movement. For example, If I own most of the oranges in the world and my harvest is ready for picking, I will pick them all, kill all the plants and then replant. This would bring my prices of the oranges over triple of the norm, until my plants can be ready for harvesting again. Think about what I said for a second! In other words, for the next 3 or more years, orange juice would cost so much that it would be better than gold. Not to say that I had already bought the competition out already. Now, one can't kill the gold supply but one can surely slow it down. With this in mind, we surely don't know who or what is holding the RV up completely. I will say this. Brent, sweet or what ever you want to call it, Iraq has some of the best and cheapest to produce oil in the world. It cost Iraq about 3 dollars to produce every barrel of oil while Venezuela, the world's holder of the biggest reserve, has to dish out about 30 dollars per barrel for it to be consumable, not to mention the other OPEC members. There is money saved by Iraq that is not being considered here that sure adds up since the oil is always consumed daily. There are sure a lot of huge powers that don't want the RV because it damages their interest right now. (Money saved by one is money spent by another) However, there are countries who want this RV right now. (Money to slow their production for future generations, mass growth and charge.) In reality, nothing is holding the RV, from Iraq's point of view. They only have about 30 million Iraqis and if you look at Venezuela in 1977, the Bolivar was 4.3 to the dollar. Venezuela lost its value from then due to corruption and misappropriations of funds until 1999. Iraq is in a better situation now. Most are poor and if an RV would happen, corruption could be gradual and not just for the chosen few. Misappropriations would be hard to do since most are at the same level and watching each other like hawks. JMMHO. Good luck to all and Go RV.
  5. DJibouti is too far to consider a rapid response! The best place is inside the embasy in Iraq. Iraq better wake up. We do not have to ask to go in. We did it before and we will do it again.
  6. And just last week, the commie Pres they got there had said that he had no intentions of revaluing the bolivar at this time. Planned all the way to keep the profits of international companies in the country!!! I read somewhere that Napoleon Bonaparte once said that "Never tell your enemy when he is making mistakes, just let him fail" Makes me wonder.... GLTA and Go RV.
  7. Venezuela devalued its currency bolivar by 44% today. Tourists can buy bolivars at 11.3 per dollar compared with the official 6.3 per dollar for most other transactions. Oil investments will also use the new exchange rate. This move followed a 32% devaluation in February. Bolivar is losing value because of Venezuela’s dismal hard currency reserve, reports Bloomberg: A decade of currency controls has made dollars increasingly scarce in the South American country, with foreign reserves falling to a nine-year low this month. The restricted supply of dollars to companies has led to shortages of imports ranging from tires to beef. This devaluation essentially wipes out Ford Motor‘s (F) profits in Latin America, says Russ Dallen at BBO Financial Services: Ford announced last week that it was expecting to lose $350 million because of this devaluation in Venezuela, basically wiping out all of its profits from the whole of Latin America. In short, Ford, like many international companies, has over $700 million trapped in bolivars that they have not been able to repatriate or exchange, as the Government will not give them the dollars and it is illegal to use the black market (which would also mean an even greater loss). Ford won’t be the only victim. Dallen warns us to look for similar announcements from Toyota , Clorox (CLX), Diageo (DEO), Mead Johnson (MJN), Revlon (REV), Mattel (MAT), and Tupperware (TUP). http://blogs.barrons.com/emergingmarketsdaily/2013/12/23/venezuela-devalues-bolivar-by-44-wiping-out-fords-latam-profit/?mod=yahoobarrons&ru=yahoo "Ford announced last week that it was expecting to lose $350 million because of this devaluation in Venezuela, basically wiping out all of its profits from the whole of Latin America." This tells me that perhaps the elite know ahead of time what Central Banks intentions are before they happen with total certainty and little speculation. Something to ponder about!!! GLTA and Go RV.
  8. Hello Candy01. I've been in a similar situation before and what has worked for me was chamomille tea. You may read about it here under medical use and pharmacology. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamomile It has fungistatic properties which could help this situation. Please make your own dudiligence and decision with this that has worked for me in the past. I'll pray that you may feel better. T.

  10. IMO, I took the statement as face value. It specifically says in "Proportions." This would apply to trillions, billions, ect. 4 to 1 was my first observation. Thanks for your post. GLTY and All. GO RV.
  11. Hello. This sounds to me of a possible hint of dividing the actual rate by 4. This would be ok if they let it float and appreciate. Thanks for your post. GLTY and ALL. GO RV.
  12. This is a great start. IMO, once they open one in the Panama Canal, one in NY, one in London and one in Brickell then IMO they are ready for a reserve currency. In the meantime, we wait for currency reform/adjustment. Thanks for your post. GLTA and GO RV!
  13. Hello ZZ Top. I have a gut feeling that alot more will develop. If you see the pic that I posted, "A person on a sidewalk, missing a shoe, being given CPR or the similar." Then 12 or 13 folks perishing and 10 or more wounded. I don't know what kind of weapon was used, however, 13+10 is 23. A HCM "Hi capacity magazine" for any of the M16/M4 variants, hold 30 rounds, assuming one of these were used. This is a high probability for single shot, single hit. Wow! Most of the Expert Marksmen come from the Marines and Army. I know!!! I was one of them!!!!!! I don't buy it!!! A Navy compound and a Navy shooter, Sorry. I don't buy it. Like I said, more info is needed.
  14. Update Chola. http://news.yahoo.com/shots-fired-at-washington-navy-yard--u-s--navy-confirms-130407614.html 13 dead in Navy Yard shooting; 1 suspect dead, 1 sought . View gallery . . . . Chris Moody and Dylan Stableford 41 minutes ago WASHINGTON — At least 13 people died Monday during a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, officials said. One gunman died in the shooting, and police are seeking another possible shooter. The Navy Yard was placed on lockdown after shots were fired inside a building on the base, the U.S. Navy said. A Metro police officer and naval base officer were among those injured in the shooting, according to the D.C. Metro Police. The suspected gunman was identified by the FBI as Aaron Alexis, a 34-year-old civilian contractor from Queens, New York, who most recently resided in Fort Worth, Texas. The Navy said Alexis was a full-time reservist from 2007 to 2011. He left the Navy on Jan. 31, 2011, as a petty officer 3rd class and had been working for the fleet logistics support squadron No. 46 in Fort Worth. Alexis was arrested in Fort Worth in 2010 for discharging a firearm in city limits, police records show. Charges were never filed. Washington Mayor Vincent Gray said Alexis was shot during an exchange with the Metro Police officer. [Full coverage: Washington Navy Yard shooting] "As far as we know, it's an isolated incident," Gray said. "We have no known motive at this stage." The mayor said there was "no reason at this stage" to believe it was terrorism, but would not rule it out. D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said authorities were seeking a potential second suspect, described as a black male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5 foot 10, 180 pounds, medium complexion with gray sideburns, wearing an olive military-style uniform and carrying "a long gun." Before a scheduled economic speech at the White House, President Barack Obama deplored "yet another mass shooting" — this one targeting military and civilian personnel. “These are men and women who were going to work, doing their job, protecting all of us," Obama said. "They’re patriots, and they know the dangers of serving abroad. But today they faced the unimaginable: violence that they wouldn’t have expected here at home." "We will do everything in our power to make sure that whoever carried out this cowardly act is held responsible," the president added. "I want the investigation to be seamless." Janis Orlowski, chief medical officer at Washington Hospital Center, said one Metropolitan Police officer and two civilians are being treated there. All three arrived in critical condition, Orlowski said, but are expected to make a full recovery. One was shot in the legs, another in the shoulder. Those victims were in surgery, Orlowski said. A woman who was shot in the head and hand would not need surgery because the bullet did not penetrate her skull. The Navy said shots were fired at the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters building on the base at 8:20 a.m., and a "shelter in place" order was issued for Navy Yard personnel. Rick Mason, a program management specialist, told Yahoo News he was on the fourth floor when he saw someone with a shotgun aiming down into the atrium. The gunman, Mason said, was targeting people who walked into the cafeteria. Other employees described a chaotic scene. "We heard two shots and started wondering if that was the sound of someone dropping something or if they were really shots," Omar Grant, a civilian employee at the Navy Yard who was on the first floor of the atrium, said. "We heard three more shots, and that's when people started running out of the building and getting the hell out of there." Grant then led a blind colleague to safety. Approximately 3,000 people work in the building, the Navy said, though it's unclear how many people were inside at the time of the shooting. The U.S. Senate complex was locked down "in light of the uncertainty surrounding the shooting at the Navy Yard this morning and particularly the possibility of suspects remaining at large," the Senate said in an alert to staffers. "You may move about the building; however, for the next two hours you may not leave nor can anyone enter the building." A White House official said the president had been briefed several times throughout the morning about the unfolding situation at the Navy Yard by assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism Lisa Monaco and deputy chief of staff Alyssa Mastromanaco. A heavy SWAT and police presence could be seen around the Navy Yard. Outside the base, employees sat huddled, crying and holding each other. At least one of the victims was airlifted from the scene, as helicopters circled overhead. A temporary ground stop was ordered at Reagan National Airport, and schools in the area were placed on temporary lockdown. The 41-acre Navy Yard, located five blocks from Nationals Stadium and a mile and a half from the Capitol, is home to the chief of naval operations and headquarters for the Naval Historical Center and numerous naval commands. The Washington Nationals postponed Monday's home game against the Atlanta Braves in the wake of the tragedy. According to the Navy's website, Naval Sea Systems "engineers, builds, buys and maintains the Navy's ships and submarines and their combat systems." Approximately 60,000 people work there.

  22. US Rules Out Hitting Syrian Chemical Sites Sep 06, 2013 Military.com| by Richard Sisk 477 comments The Pentagon has ruled out hitting Syrian chemical weapons stockpiles or sending U.S. troops to secure the sites where they are stored after any potential missiles strikes, officials said Thursday. “We are taking into account in our planning that there could be environmental impacts in large dispersions of chemical stockpiles” in the form of clouds of toxic agents following any U.S. airstrikes, Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said Thursday. Little added that “we are not contemplating boots on the ground in any way, shape or form” to secure chemical weapons that would remain in the control of forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Little spoke at a Pentagon briefing after concerns were raised in Congress that Obama might order U.S. troops into Syria following airstrikes to seize Assad’s weapons of mass destruction. Congress is debating a strike on Syria ahead of a potential full vote in the House and Senate next week. Little stressed that any attack on Syria authorized by Congress would be limited and of short duration and would be intended to “degrade and deter” Assad’s ability to use chemical weapons. “This is not going to be a long, protracted drawn-out conflict” that would require ground troops, Little said. Adm. Jonathan Greenert, the chief of naval operations, pointed to the firepower aboard at least four destroyers on station off the coast of Syria that could be ordered into action by Obama with the approval of Congress. At an American Enterprise Institute conference, Greenert said the new Block IV Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) aboard the destroyers “brings a really good asset to a commander.” The new TLAMS can be re-programmed in flight and change targets. “You fly it and it can receive changes,” Greenert said. “It can go up and it can loiter [over a target],” he said. Russia has boosted its own naval presence in the Mediterranean to shadow the U.S. ships, but Greenert said the aging Russian fleet was of little immediate concern. Greenert said he considered the presence of the Russian ships to be a “neutral factor” in any U.S. decision to strike Syria. In Moscow, Sergei Ivanov, the Kremlin chief of staff, said the Russian ships sent to the Mediterranean were intended for a possible evacuation of Russian citizens in the event of an American attack, Russia’s Ria Novosti news agency reported. Several hundred Russians were believed to be in the vicinity of the small Syrian port of Tartus, where Russia maintains what it calls a “logistical” center. In a separate statement, Russia’s Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said earlier that that the Russian ships were meant to send a message to the Americans, Ria Novosti reported. “Our warships are a guarantee of regional stability, an attempt to restrain other forces that are ready to launch military operations in the region,” Antonov said. “Our actions are in strict compliance with international law and the United Nations Charter,” Antonov said, adding that the Mediterranean Sea is quite close to Russia’s borders. At Thursday’s Pentagon briefing, Little again tried to clear up confusion left by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel’s suggestion that Russia had supplied Syria with chemical weapons. In testimony to the House Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday, Hagel said “there’s no secret that the Assad regime has had chemical weapons, significant stockpiles.” When asked about the source of the chemical weapons, Hagel said, “The Russians supply them, others are supplying them with those chemical weapons. They make some themselves.” The White House and the U.S. intelligence community have stressed that the Assad regime was solely responsible for the Aug. 21 attacks on the Damascus suburbs that allegedly killed more than 1,400, and Little quickly put out a statement saying that Hagel misspoke. “[Hagel had been] referring to the well-known conventional arms relationship between Syria and Russia,” Little said. “The Syrian regime has a decades-old, largely indigenous chemical weapons program,” Little said, adding that some of those conventional arms could be modified or otherwise used to support the chemical weapons program. On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Syria could soon be receiving a new conventional weapons system from Moscow that would give a major boost to Syria’s air defenses. In interviews with Russia’s Channel 1 TV and the Associated Press, Putin confirmed that Moscow has a signed contract with Damascus to deliver S-300 air defense missile systems to Syria, and he suggested that Russia would go ahead with the delivery if the U.S. attacked. “We have a contract to supply S-300 missiles, and we’ve already supplied some parts, but not all of it because we decided to suspend the supplies for a while,” Putin said. “But if we see international law being violated, we will reconsider our future actions, including supplies of such sensitive weapons to certain regions of the world,” Putin said. http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/09/06/us-rules-out-hitting-syrian-chemical-sites.html?ESRC=dod.nl

Israel's Channel 2 television broadcast a film in which two helmeted soldiers, at least one armed with a rifle, were shown dancing with Palestinian young men clad in jeans and T-shirts, to a popular rock tune. A Palestinian man could be seen twirling around with a soldier in uniform hoisted onto his shoulders, weapon in hand, as other men danced around them. The report said the troops had ducked into the club while on foot patrol in the predominantly Palestinian city, a frequent flashpoint of tensions between Palestinians and Jewish settlers. A military spokesman said in a statement that the army "views this as a serious incident". "The soldiers exposed themselves to unnecessary danger and were disciplined," it said. The television said the soldiers had been suspended from duty pending an investigation. There was no immediate comment from the army on that. Military rules prohibit troops from letting down their guard and socializing with enemy civilians while on duty. Several years ago soldiers were disciplined for filming a flash-mob style dance while on foot patrol in the same city, but that dance involved only the troops. Israel captured the West Bank in a 1967 war, land where Palestinians seek a state, which is the goal of U.S.-backed peace talks resumed last month after a three-year stalemate. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/israeli-troops-disciplined-partying-palestinians-205645833.html
  25. New York Times: Syrian Electronic Army Disruption ‘Close To Being Fully Resolved’ Excerpted from Politico – Nearly 24 hours after it first went down, The New York Times website continues to suffer from the disruption caused by the Syrian Electronic Army, a pro-Assad hacking group that has targeted several media outlets in recent months. The hack, which the Times described as “a malicious external attack,” shut down the Times website for most users early Tuesday afternoon; as of 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, the site was inaccessible for many users. The Times has continued to publish stories on its company website, nytco.com. Eileen Murphy, a Times spokesperson, said there was “no real update” today but said the situation was “close to being fully resolved.”"Yesterday’s disruption in service to nytimes.com was the result of an external attack on our domain name registrar, which redirected many users of nytimes.com to a bad domain address,” she wrote in an email. “The situation is close to being fully resolved and if someone is still having trouble accessing the site, it is most likely the result of their ISP (Internet service provider) not having yet restored the proper DNS records.” The Syrian Electronic Army is made up of various hackers within and outside of Syria who support Syrian President Bashar Assad.
