Thanks JNT, it sounds like the Kurds are the only ones that are celebrating Nowruz in Iraq, see here; Nowruz is the beginning of the year for the people of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Tajikistan and a few of the Asian republics of the former Soviet Union. It is also celebrated as the new year by people descended from Persian and Iranian ancestors. The Kurds in Georgia, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey celebrate Nowruz as the new year festival. Many communities where people from these countries have settled also join in the celebrations. Maliki is congratulating them but not the rest of Iraq.... does anyone know for sure that Iraq celebrates this day too and does anyone know if the CBI is closed?

Oh yota, I think the next few days will be interesting.......you guys think that it will interfear with the Summit. Think about this, if you woke up this morning and the USD is now worth 500 times more than the Euro what are you going to do. Wait, I know we don't have the Euro as useful currency here in the States but pretend we do for this exercise anyway. And two more things for this example, you don't have a bank account and oh, the Euro needs to be turned in too because it's no good as working currency anymore. Sorry one more thing, you have a $1,000.00 and 1,000 euros in your home. A) are you going to run to the bank and open an account? B ) are you going to look at the rules that determine what it means? C) are you going to celebrate in the streets? D) or does any of this make much deference unless you travel to Europe for vacation?

Halo, I don't want to get into all the political opinions as have shared my views there enough but I believe this is all about the lack of communication to the media right now. I have noticed that we/them seem to be cut as of Monday morning besides a few new articles here and there with no real substance to them. I'll point out a few examples here; Preparatory Meeting Sunday night to discuss date and time of National Meeting, notice since... 72 hours to implement Erbil or Iraq List walks, nothing since....over 72 hours ago Defense Minister nominated and name to be announced, nothing since There are others but I need more coffee but my point is they seem to be making crap up to sale papers right now or piss us off.....

Citibank - in the United States of America.".....I believe this is also where a lot of their funds are kept, it is because Iraq can't keep any money in Iraq until they have immunity, which will happen after release from Chapter VII. Once again we see them spending USD and not IQD, which is good because they have not RV yet but just wait and see they will start spending like crazy.....right after the Summit in IQD. The real growth starts after the Summit according to several article that we have read. RV is their starting line...... Folks it's ours too...... BTW the reason 4 companies are printing the new dinar is so they can have some to spend, cause what they have locked up in vaults are about to be destroyed if their not already....but as you can see by this transfer everything can be done electronicllly.... Thanks Carrello for the news..... I agree with NYGUY, I also believe Trinity and his buddies were talking about this being the HCL too.... Now the only thing I will add is that it should include the complete Implementation of the Erbil Agreement which HCL is the most important of them all...... We will hopefully read about it but this would be the biggest news that could be told to the Kurds.... The Kurds have already said that they do not want to be independent of Iraq..... Kurds to their independent state and this probably will not be in the interest of the Kurdish people because they are today, and during their stay within a unified Iraq are getting gains domestic and regional He Samurai However, if the advertising for oil investment in the region, it is possible his research with the central government and access to Ntij satisfy all parties.

Trinity, I was wondering if this was going to happen and we would just find out afterwards, I also think the same goes with the currency. We get articles stating September, then the first of 2013 and now we hear that 4 companies are printing the currency. But what brings it all together for me is we are starting to read that the zeros are removed and the currency is now being printed. Well it all is a dead giveaway that the RV will take place any day now....IMO... Have you noticed that we have also not heard anything about the parliament meetings; the last we heard is that they were not going to take any time off until the new holiday because of all the laws that needed passing but yet nothing......

I'm going to take a nap, the money is printed, the currency is down to where the CBI is happy and the real reserves can back whatever Shabibi wants to do. Budget is done, just waiting on you know what to take place, no news from the Sunday night preparation meeting which I take as great news, all of the unimplemented agreements of Erbil are ready to be announced. Ki-moon will be speaking at the Summit on the 29th after a sleelp over in Kuwait on the 28th and we could have everything that needs done between now and the time they all hug each other before going back to their homelands. Let me clarify, all they need to do is educate them to where to go, what day to show up according to age, month that they were born in, etc..etc....see they can control the process somehow. I believe this is one of the things that Shabibi is saying when he says that the people need educating......just my take on it....

I understand that but they will not be running to the bank like some here will, they are not exchanging from IQD to USD they are going in to do exactly what you are saying...opening an account the way the CBI will want them to do. There was an article that stated that the CBI needed 2000 employees to be able to do the project, I know Shabibi said they didn't need that many but we really don't know if they don't and how their going to arrange the way it will be handled. Heck they could educate them that when they can come in so there is no rush on the banks. Example;...you with the towel on your head, you can come in on Tuesday and you the one with the sheet on your head you come in Wednesday..... :lol: ....how bought me, you come in on Thursday, cause I don't like you... .... Hey I'm not saying this is when and how it's going to happen but I just through this out as an example of what could take place according to how I understand it by reading real news article.... My friend fnbplanet, you may be spot on with this but let me throw this out there as a thought only. The run on the banks will be here not there IMO, there they will be celebrating in the streets when it happens because they will not be able to run to the banks as it will happen over the three day weekend. This will give the CBI time to educate them on what to do come Sunday when the banks open. See I don't think that they will be rushing anyway, most are poor and don't have much money, then you have the ones that have a little money that will be educated to the fact of what to do in a timely manner to deposit their currency and then you have the ones that have a lot of money but are the 20% that already have bank accounts. Now here is another story, there are going to be people that rush to the banks without doing their homework first....don't do that folks........after the shock (if we have one)....take your time and research the right thing to do...... Listen, I don't now for sure if I'm right but my mind keeps pointing me there...so if it doesn't happen, blame my mind but leave me alone..... :lol: ...

This article sounds like the Summit will be the beginning or starting point of the re-building of Iraq and as I've stated before the RV is the tool that will launch them into the Future. As I read the classified than unclassified document that was named; ..........The Future of Iraq Project ...... ..........................with the sub titled.............................. ............Economy and Infrastructure............ ..........................(Public Finance)............................... ........................Working Group........................ I couldn't keep from thinking that after the last chapter was completed the RV would take place and that the future for them would start at that point. To me it is their launching point and these articles are pointing us/them in the direction that they are ready.......The Future of Iraq Starts right after the Summit.. ....Folks......................the Arab Summit is that launching point................ IMO....
