So he is either a ghost or such a big rock star in Iraq that every time he speaks or shows up it is a great appearance. Hey Mohommed Saleh - you and Shab RV it and you will be rock stars to me!

This article is just strange. How can an ambassador go the country he is assigned to deal with, be in that country, and act like he is not doing anything political. It says he met with Iraqi leaders but everyithing was completely administrative. Bizarre! Yeah its been seven months since I have been here, yeah I met with Iraqi leaders, but it was only to get some signatures and tidy up some paperwork. LOL!

Maliki can't stop it so he might as well work with Arbil and keep oil investment money coming into Iraq. Keep oil investment money coming-develop oil fields- sell oil- stockpile riches from around the world. I hate smoking but . . . isn't it funny they are starting to rebuild their country and banning smoking in public places is "important" enough to be passed now? When most of the country does not have continual electric power and all of the other issues like housing, water, employment,etc. ??????? Vice versa maybe I am looking at this the wrong way. I could be wrong because I don't check every or even most of the guru chats but . . . . here we actually had a rate change and NOBODY called it ahead of time. In fact NO ONE even could explain it until after it happened and CBI did! So what good are gurus? I know (rhetorical question). I just find it amazing how people say they know all kinds of things but they don't know much more than I can read off of the CBI site or news articles. Especially news as it relates to dates and rates. It makes me appreciate Adam's thoughts all the more because he wasn't out there making up what he didn't know and spouting it off like it is fact about the recent rate change. We won't know till it happens and when it happens we will all know!

It's a shame we are even upset that they cancelled the meeting. They are politicians. The only thing that would have come out of the meeting (had they actually met) was maybe another meeting scheduled to dicuss possible solutions blah blah blah. I think whenever these things happen they will pop - without much fanfare or preceeding news. It will definitely be known when it happens -just not ahead of time.

This is exactly the type of meeting that gets us excited only to find the next day that some group boycotts and they can not even reach quorum! One day one of these meeting might actually be productive. Come on RV!
