  1. This should be moved to the rumor section because that's all this is since no one really knows what's gonna happen with the IQD. If you have facts to support what you wrote then please share them. Thanks in advance.
  2. As long as your bills have all of the security features on them then you're fine. That is all the bank will be concerned with when you cash them in. If they don't have a DeLaRue machine to check them then they will send them somewhere to have them checked. They don't care if you have a certificate of authenticity or not because a COA only guarantees someone's "claim" that the bills are real... that's all. They're not gonna look at the COA and say, "He's good, cash him out!". Besides, if the company that issued the COA skips town, you're left with nothing but a hard sheet of toilet paper. Don't sweat it... you're good
  3. The OP posted this on March 9th and hasn't responded to any of the posts. Maybe he has already sold his dinar and moved on . Who knows?
  4. This may sound weird but I kinda like the rumors. They keep me dreaming big. Without a doubt, if the IQD RV'd at 2¢, I will be more than pleased. But if one of the so-called self-proclaimed Nostradumbasses, I mean Nostradamuses, is right about their $3+ to $6+ predictions, then my dreams will come true. Seriously though, you getting upset about how some members are getting upset about the rumors that are being posted in the rumor section? Makes no sense at all to me. Sounds like you're more or less getting upset at yourself and passing the buck. Oh well! Now let me get back to dreaming about getting a Ferrari 458, Corvette ZR1 or Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Who am I kidding, let me find some new front tires for my '05 GTO.
  5. http://iraqidinarnews.net/blog/2011/04/04/sources-for-the-citizen-iraq-is-seeking-to-emerge-from-chapter-vii-for-the-extension-of-u-s-troops/
  6. FYI * Sources for the (citizen): Iraq is seeking to emerge from Chapter VII for the extension of U.S. troops APRIL 4, 2011 Showed well-informed sources that Iraq is currently negotiating with the U.S. side for the purpose of pressure on the countries, which reject out of Iraq from Chapter VII. Sources indicated in a statement (citizens) that “the American side began those negotiations, but is required for stand with Iraq, his exit from Chapter VII that is Iraq, signed the Treaty on long-term relationship with the Americans allow them to keep 20,000 troops on Iraqi territory,” adding that “the Iraqi government requires that be removed from Chapter VII before the end of the withdrawal of Americans from their lands completely by December 2011 to be able to sign the new treaty or modify the security agreement now in force “
  7. A certificate of authenticity can be fabricated by anyone at anytime. As long as the company issuing the COA is in business then you're good. Once the business skips town or closes all you're stuck with is fire starter. The number doesn't make it any better either. I bought 500K from DinarBanker and as reputable as that company is, there is no cert. #. on their COA. As long as the bills have all of the security features on them then you really shouldn't worry too much. Sure any currency can be counterfeited but the IQD is one of the toughest ones to duplicate so at this time there is a good chance that you will not get any bogus ones.
  8. Keepm is right. Here is the response that I received from B of A on March 21, 2011; Subj: RE: Other Online Banking Features Thank you for your inquiry. There is no limit to the amount of foreign currency you can exchange at Bank of America. One form of identification would be required. Please be aware that Bank of America does not exchange Iraqi Dinars, and there are no plans to offer consumer exchange services in Iraqi currency. Sincerely, Bank of America Foreign Currency Will that change when the IQD RIs/RVs... who knows.
  9. The fact that you used "scam" in your thread title and that you are basing your decision to no longer participate in this investment partially based on what the pumpers are saying tells me that you got into this investment for the wrong reason(s). One of the reasons was probably to get rich overnight. Maybe I'm wrong. This is a speculative investment. Nothing more, nothing less. With these types of investments you have to have a lot of patience and a sense of hope. Without those things, then giving up is probably the best thing for you to do. In my opinion, this is not a scam. It's a gamble. The two are totally different. When it comes to gambling, you should only wager what you can afford to lose. That way you don't dwell on what you lost or blame others for a chance that you took. Good luck to ya!
  10. With me, the things that keep me positive and grounded (mentally) about this investment are the facts that I have a great paying job (government contractor) of 20+ years with no signs of it ended anytime soon, I got into this investment spending an amount of cash that I could afford to live without and if nothing happens in my lifetime, I have a 15 year old son that I will leave 90% of my belongings to, including the dinar I have, who may see this the RI/RV occur. My favorite nephew will get the other 10%. Regardless of the rumors of those I don't know and those I do know, until the IQD is RI'd/RV'd, no one is going to convince me spend anymore money than I have already or cause me to lose any sleep due to what [don't] they think. I could easily purchase 10 million dinar as soon as I finish typing this post but I'm not. Why? Because I'm not driven by greed or willing to put all of my eggs in one basket, especially one that is as speculative as this one. The amount that I purchased is more than enough to make me happy, if/when this happens and will set my son up to have a decent life, if he has the ability to spend wisely. In my opinion, I think those who are driven by greed and putting a bit too much faith into a speculative investment and the constant flood of rumors [praying that there is some truth to them] are the ones who are probably not sleeping well from day to day. Be patient and let what you truly feel is going to happen... happen. Not to make this post any longer than what it is, I think that everyone should just treat this investment as a gift that you are not expected. We should ignore the naysayers, better yet, encourage the naysayers to believe what they will and just act as if nothing will happen. That way when it does occur, it will be everything that you hoped it would be if not more. Then when you tell someone, "I told you so" it will feel that much better. That is all.
  11. The 2 and the 3 look like a backward 7. The top portion of the 2 is smooth and the top portion of the 3 has a small peak in the middle of it.
  12. Great, positive post. But boy does that friend of a friend of another friend stuff makes you wonder what the original story really was about. Regardless, I'm still hopeful.
  13. After taking care of all the obvious things (paying off debt, helping friends and family, giving to charities, purchasing a few new toys, etc.) I "will" do what I've always talked about doing if I was ever placed in a position to do so. And that is too withdraw a decent amount of cash, drive around in my car and randomly choose individuals, especially the homeless, and ask them what I could do to make their lives much better than what is in now. For years now, I have given all of my saved recyclables and sometimes cash to people I see on the streets of my neighborhood who, on a daily basis in an effort to earn (honest) money, go through the trash of others to find aluminum cans, plastic/glass bottles or any other items with a CRV. As simple as that may seem to some, I tell you what, the joy these people get from my simple jesture means the world to them. Every single person that I have helped, with deep sincerity, thank me and thank God for my help. So, whether it's $5, $50, new clothing or just a hot meal, I would truly get joy from helping out the less fortunate people who will definitely appreciate what I have done for them because I know my kindness to assist them does not require them to do anything for me.
  14. When you convert IQD into USD it shows .0009
  15. Very informative post. Thanks!
  16. I have read that on Dinar Banker too. As far as the "Provide proof of purchase including the source, which must be a legitimate legal source or seller" goes, I think that is just a scare tactic used by them to get you to buy from them. I have yet to read that anywhere else. One top-rated seller on eBay who is also registered with The US Department of Treasury as a Money Service Business stated that the bank "might" require you to provide proof of where you purchased your dinar. Sounds like the same tactic as Dinar Banker to me. Personally, I think it's wrong for an institution to ask you where you acquired your dinar. It's like there indirectly accusing you of possibly acquiring it illegally. Just my 2 cents.
