  1. OK, OK - My Dogz you could have said one sentence on this right at the beginning and nothing would have happened. I am sorry if you have a disability. I did not know that. My apologies. As for being a butthead to conservatives, that's called healthy debate. if you righties didn't come up with crazy things that aren't true, and then trash liberals with them, there would be no problem.
  2. Come on, Dog. Why am I an atheist? I'm not. Just against fundamentalists of ANY religion (like bin Laden) I am afraid your majority argument might be true - I think tea party fundamentalists are a voting minority now.
  3. Take the little red pills, one every three hours. Increase dosage if needed. Call me in the morning.
  4. Joy's ???? How many joys? And what is the joy possessing...you use an apostrophe here...joy's what? Joy's underwear? Joy's ignorance? Read anything besides the TV Guide? Getting a bit hot under the collar are we? Consider this: My middle name comes from the first governor of this country. He was a Puritan. I am not proud of that - Winthrop was a b*****d. But I do know what I am talking about here - they came here to escape religious persecution. Then they get here, free from persecution themselves, and immediately start persecuting everyone who did not agree with their version of Christianity. Ironic, isn't it? You know what that sounds like? Take a look in the mirror.
  5. "Under God" was written into the Pledge of Allegiance in the 1950s -It wasn't always there in the "Good ole days" as many of you think. Guess why? More right wing fear nuts, such as those populating these threads...then it was Eugene McCarthy and the Red Scare Now it is the "Muslim Scare" - same song, different words...LOL When are you guys gonna grow up? Read history - many of the founding fathers were not Christians, but deists and realized founding a nation based on religion was a bad idea and would cause strife and wars. (it did in Europe for hundreds of years) Though I agree with you on the rich elite - we need to get them out of power and put in regular people. But if you keep voting Repug and Democrat, that won't happen.
  6. The Syrian "humanitarian" bombing planned is just a backdoor way to get into Iran. DC is hoping Iran will retaliate and then their oilfields will be ours. Of course, it is a chance to get rid of Assad as well, a supporter of jihad.
  7. Where are you kakadu? I don't see you out there standing up. Where are you? You should be out with your gun and Bible standing behind your words! Why aren't you out there killing Muslims and defending God?
  8. We do need a revolution. A peaceful one. American Spirit is selling fear and guns on this badly done infomercial. It is a marketing ploy. Of course, they may get Homeland Security knocking at their door to check their hard drives one rainy morning at 4 am. LOL
  9. I think they mean 4 billion NOTES in various denominations, adding up to trillions... "We are all being sold out by some very wealthy people in our country. " Well, that is an understatement - certainly, painfully true. And they keep us little guys fighting with each other over petty issues like gays, guns and religion. Pitiful, really. Until we get together and create a level playing field and clean out our government, we are in trouble. Anybody know the American Revolution helped the US upper class at the time? They said then, "Hey we are oppressing the poor so much they might revolt...better they help us fight the King, then we can oppress them again afterward." And that's what happened. Source: "People's History of the US" by Howard Zinn. Same thing going on today. History repeats itself, beget by our ignorance. I find it hard to believe 6 trillion in country circulating, when there are 30 million people and most of them are using USD. I call BS on this.
  10. True. We could lock up our menace. But we need right wing nuts around for contrast. So we have something to laugh at.
  11. My post was not meant to offend. That's why I am truly interested in why someone who is educated would have political views that, FOR ME, run counter to rational thought. I am truly interested. That's why I mentioned philosophy - that's all. It is statistically proven that conservatives, for the MOST PART, have less education than progressives. Combine that with media propaganda like Fox, and you have a mix for a conservative base. Yes, I know this is a generalization and there are many exceptions. What I am interested in is not media sound bites, but what drives the anger at others that many conservatives show - the business world is NOT a level playing field for all people based on merit, so all this "equal opportunity" BS that comes from the right, and everyone else is lazy - is simply a lie. I believe you know that. I am merely generalizing in the abstract for the sake of covering some ground here - of course there are exceptions and I never said ALL this or ALL that...that is a rhetorical mistake. But to get somewhere in a debate, one must make SOME assumptions. There would be no philosophy department at university if we "dropped all conjecture and assumptions" as you say. As for the anger you direct at progressives, where does it come from? Ever notice how progressives often have bumper stickers all over their cars saying, "save the farm" "save the whales.." "a good education is more important than a new bomber..." Remember? Ever notice the stickers on conservatives' cars? Usually there is only one or two - vote Romney, or "Palin for Pres." - and that's IT. No other stickers, Ever wonder about that? Voting with the wallet, I call it. Altruistic,it's not. Good point, but China doesn't have dual currencies. Perhaps Iraq can keep forging ahead using the dollar, and receiving dollars for oil, for many years. Perhaps indefinitely (I hope not...). They are making money millions exchanging dollars and dinar and I am beginning to think this may be part of the hold up. Any thoughts on that?
  12. Divemaster You are obviously well educated. Nice post. Honestly, you are one of the mysteries of life for me - how could someone so educated have a right-wing political view? It's a free country, and not all rightie ideas are bad - many very good. I suppose it boils down to philosophy - consevatives draw from Hobbes - poeple are inherently bad and need strong laws, guns, jails, etc to restrain them Versus the Lockian view - people are essentially good, and when allowed the means to survive, will be altruistic (nice) to one another (progressive side) and don't need aggressive restraints
  13. LOL Nice one Rat Periods go inside quotes lol That's 'cause yur so full of...just kidding, man. We don't agree on politics, but that was funny...LOL
  14. Yes he is. And O. has learned well and fast - consider he campaigned on open government - but has prosecuted more whistleblowers than many presidents combined...and sent out the drones (killing without the threat of being killed and without needed permission of country you're killing in... Ex: Obama murdered a US citizen in Yemen and his 14 year-old son without a trial and any Constitutional protections. What happened to the Bill of Rights? Ask Papa Bush.
  15. Ron Excellent find and idea here. We have often felt the money supply was being manipulated and this could be how. They do not have to tell the public the truth - perhaps the IMF must know, but the public? Under sanctions, it is highly likely that these numbers do not need to be public - and tho not under chap 7 now, they are still under UN sanctions (chap 8 I believe? or will be...) and this might allow them to hide numbers. They may be able to do this anyway, regardless of the UN. This runs parallel witht he idea that they have been reducing the IQD money supply in country over the years thru auctions or just not replacing worn out money. Of course, it doesn't help our case that billions in IQD have been, and are being, distributed through the world by dealers...some have said the CBI ignores that, but it's still a lot of IQD. Perhaps not - we may be fleas on the camel's back, so to speak...LOL
  16. Beautifully written. And I want someone to tell me how this is a "taxable investment" Was I able to write off the losses I incurred making my "investment" when I changed dollar to Euros on my France trip in 2010 and lost 40%? Nooooo! So if I exchange dinar for dollars, why do I pay taxes if I gain a percentage? This tax thing is total BS
  17. Boy you put that mildly... A shame "Christians" don't know much of European history. If they did, they would not try to inject religion into politics here in this country. The religious wars claims millions of lives and people were tortured and persecuted because people could not agree on religion. Now American Christians want to repeat that here with idiocy like having Texas school books say there is no evolution and no global climate change and we need more guns so people won't shoot each other......and during the Iraq war General Boykin went around claiming "our God is stonger than their evil Allah"...a general in the military...amazing. It would be nice if Christians were more Christ-like. The overturning of DOMA was a response to Christians trying to control everyone else - essentially an un-American effort. You see, America was founded on FREEDOM. That means you can't tell me who I can and can't love. It's truly VERY SIMPLE idea. Can you comprehend that? Apparently not.
  18. Whoa, Dog - you woke up on this one. Excellent. We don't need to expand the empire into Syria. Anyone want to send their own kids in there? And for what? So they can build a pipeline thru there and call it a client sate? Gee guys...last time I checked anyone can be of any religion in America - it's in the Constitution. Isn't that true? So why do we have to get rid of him as Pres. because of his religion? That would be illegal. (HINT: Not all Muslims are terrorists...just like not all Christians are idiots....)
  19. Prob. no tax on sunlight but the righties in Congress will say they give you cancer OR they won't vote for them (or reg them out of existence) as they are protecting the fossil fuels industry and their capitalist friends...
  20. He's our puppet we planted over there...go figure If we want the RV, and he's in our pockets, why hasn't it happened? This bother me greatly...points to the possibility of no RV at all, but an RD At least there are trees left...for sippin' no thanks to the righties
  21. He won't. He can call an attack anytime without their permission. We have made the ME "our problem" because we made the decision in the 1970's to fight rather than switch - from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Remember Tareyton cigarettes? That is the full package answer.
  22. And saving our butts in the Revolutionary War - their navy made sure the British didn't control our coasts and free trade and they fought the British for us True. And the righties here know it. But that aside, Obama sees a chance to make Syria another DC client state in the US economic empire - and he's going to take it. It seems to be OK to bomb the rebels, kill women and children with cluster bombs, bullets and mortars..... but not chemical weapons. No killing them THAT way! Kill them the OTHER WAYS. What BS. No we should not go in. Anyway, we've already been in, funneling arms to the rebels, prob CIA in there too... Yeah...gotta get rid of obummmer, 'cause he is going in there for oil... Bush and Cheney would never have done that...
