  1. After losing my cookies all over A/c's post, I'm all in on OKIE, I like his interpretation of events and prognosis a helluva lot better. Okie, I love you man. I don't care Trump says about you.
  2. Sorry, but it must be a bad line of code. When I pitted the IQD against the Euro, it came up 0.0008, which tells us that the IQD is still, pretty much worthless. But, NOT FOR LONG....
  3. "The expansion of money, given an increase in the monetary base, is inevitable, and will ultimately result in higher inflation and interest rates. In shorter time frames, the expansion of money can also result in higher stock prices, a weaker currency, and increases in commodity prices such as oil and gold." Reply.... -- Precisely what I'm hoping for. If this baby RV's anywhere near what I'm conservatively thinking it will, my family and I will be laying on the beach at Waikiki, earning 15 to 20%, not to mention the 3% dividends on our Exxon stock. Is this a great contry, or what? Does anybody have the number to Goldline? Read more: http://dinarvets.com.../#ixzz1DimpCd3u
  4. Only if you invested in Vietnamese Dong. That's John Jagerson's article from Mint.com, ...and equally worthless! Not exactly what I would consider: Fair and Balanced.

    RV

Very profound funkemaster, well said. I've said the same thing. This could well shake out to be a blessing and a curse. Looking on the bright side however, I think you might be a little low as regards the Dinar's value at RV. Best of luck, stay positive.
  6. Don't mince words 13mil.out - Tell us how you really feel. ...Then go take a chill pill, dude.
  7. I've been a part of this great adventure for little more than a month now. However, in that month's time I've spent long, long hours researching, weighing the possibilities, pro's and con's, and perfoming my due diligence (thanks in great part to invaluable resources provided by such worthy sites as this), as I would think all interested parties would, concerning this investment. So much so, in fact, that having watched Elaine Dodd's report and then subsequently reading John Jagerson's article in Mint.com (linked at the bottom of Dodd's report), they both almost made me ill. To suggest that either of their views were those of contrarians trying to put a negative spin on the investment would be giving them waaaaaaay too much credit. What I saw and read could only be construed as the height of naivete and utter ignorance, and just plain irresponsible. Suffice to say, that neither of these individuals would make so much as a pimple on a good journalist's ass.
  8. Bane, ...Buddy, I love you like a brother, but sheeeeesh!!! What a crock. Beyond which, did you notice it said the Iraqi Dinar would be DEvalued? Sorry Bro, don't see it happnin'.
  9. Ooooooooh, did I do a bad thing? ....Sorry!?!?
  10. I apologize in advance for posting this in the Dinar news section, but didn't see another likely spot for it and thought those involved would want to know. Central Bank of Vietnam today announced another DEvaluation of the Dong by yet another 8.5%. Here is the Link: http://www.vietfinancenews.com/
  11. One man's opinion.... There is so much Dinar floating around out there currently, the currency value is so diluted, that already, we face the possibility of the dreaded LOP. So, that said, may I ask why you would continue to bring others into the mix and put further pressure on a currency that already, isn't worth the paper it's printed on?
  12. Great Post!! Brief, concise and to the point. Well Done!! let me add my meager 2c's worth. Perhaps a number of you might remember a few days ago when word from the hill was that the Senate was voicing concern about our continued monetary support for Iraq. Now from whence did that juicy little tidbit come from? Right out of nowhere. All of a sudden, in the midst of so much other legislative work and agenda, someone jumps up and says, "You know.... I've been thinking". Pretty self-serving if you ask me. I'm thinkin' someone was trying to fire a shot across their bow and get them to take notice. But then, what do I know. ...Just sayin'.
  13. I'm not sure I follow your line of thinking. If you have a Million Dinar sitting in Warka Bank (which wouldn't be my first choice, I assure you) and the currency RV's, you still have the same 1 Million Dinar. The only change is what your 1 Million Dinars then affords you in purchasing power. Again, for the Iraqi people, their Dinar is Still a Dinar, it just increases in purchasing power upon RV. Forget the exchange rates, unless their ordering something from overseas, it doesn't really matter. For the Iraqi people living on their economy, in the short term, their cost of living just went down dramatically.
  14. OK .. admit there would be no lop .... Then ... how do you explain the fact that if they revalue the currency like many people are expecting??? and how would people pay their loans?? Companies pay their loans? They would get less salary ... suppose they were getting 1 Million Dinar ... but after revaluation they would get 1000 Dinar. How about the loan?? It would remain the same amount? No lop Remember?? REPLY - You bring up a good point and I appreciate your consideration in the matter. I would imagine that any existing contracts and/or agreements would be adjusted/restructured to meet the new currency valuation. But remember also, these people are living on THEIR economy, not ours. The vast majority of whom are not sitting around wondering what their Dinar is worth in relation to the dollar; Their Dinar buys what their Dinar buys. An RV is nothing but a huge benefit to the Iraqi people as it dramatically elevates their purchasing power as consumers, both individual and industrial.
  15. I too, was once like you grasshopper, ...I was not knowing. However, the power of the force has enlightened me and shown me the way. The RV is coming, for my master tells me so. And, THERE WILL BE NO LOP!!! To thine own self keep thy bad vibes, you meathead, you. ...Just Sayin'
  16. BanG - Thanks so much for the post, very elightening and makes a lot of sense. Thank you for your time and effort. Super job of condensing the issues, I for one, appreciate the effort.
  17. By the Way, this would also debunk Okie's call of a $5.21 rate. He's basing his fuzzy math on the same numbers taken from that article he was presuming to be the budget...(14 Iraqi Dinars per barrel). This is a big forum an community. It's kind of like the old game of gathering folks in a circle, start a rumor and by the time its gone full circle, see what you have at the end.
  18. Guys, ...Guys,... the 14 percent alluded to in translation references the percentage of deficit in the budget. In their previous budget drafts, they talked about 2011 earnings set at aprox. $69 Billion dollars. Unfortunately however, they're projected spending in the fiscal year is slated to be around $83 Billion. Thus leaving a 14% budget deficit. Which, is why they've been talking about raising the price-per-barrel income parameter from $73.00/bbl to $75.00/bbl, to help bridge the deficit spending gap.
  19. I am really trying to make some sense of all this. Granted, I'm a Newbie, I admit it. For several years now, off an on, I've listened to folks talking about their (IQD) Dinar purchases and then just let it go at that; a subject, that has long been off my mind. Then, 2 weeks ago a really nice older couple are talking to me about how they've gotten in on it, as well. I can tell they definitely have their hearts, hopes and dreams pinned to this great manifestation and how they were convinced it was all coming together in the next 24 hours (that was 2 weeks ago). Listening to their explanations and justifications for the imminent, impending RV arrival and not wanting to miss out, I myself decided, "What the Hell" and decided to get involved, also. And, I do understand that many of you have been on the bandwagon, equally hopeful and vigilant for a number of years now as opposed to my short 2 weeks. ...I feel your pain. This is really huge!! Nothing less than a great, life-changing event for many of us if it comes to fruition, and for everyone's sake I sincerely pray that it does. However at this juncture, having heard Paul Revere day after day dashing through the streets and yelling, "The RV is Coming, the RV is Coming", ...the unsubstantiated rumors and outright BS, I gotta' tell you, I'm beginning to feel a little like a Christian Scientist with Appendicitis. My father (who was always on a plane headed somewhere), had 2 degrees in international business, successfully owned and managed several foreign corporations, and to date, was one of the smartest businessmen I've ever known. And in this instance, I can't help but reflect on my father's experiences and in the back of mind I can hear him now:... Son!! ..."Really? ...Seriously? Did you really think you could throw down 5 Large and walk away a week later with 20 Mil.? ...Really? As gambles go, not even Nick the Greek was that good". ...Of course, I have to temper his thoughts and scepticism with the fact he was just like John Houseman on the old Smith-Barney commercials. He made his money the old fashioned way, ...He earned it. So, I said all that to say all this. You folks are amazing!! Your commitment to purpose and unwavering belief that this will all come to its logical conclusion, weathering the emtional roller-coaster, you all truly have the patience of Jobe. My hat is off to each and every one of you. I wish us all the very best, damn the torpedoes, ...Go RV!!!
  20. BTW... I'm not sure I undrstand the ramifications of a "Lop". I mean I know what it entails, but how does that affect us?
  21. Okay, I'm a neophite on the subject, I admit it. I just want to know that "Issuing new Currency" does not entail trashing the existing, making it worthless and leaving those of us who are vested with nothing more than worthless lottery ticket.
  22. I've made 2 wire transfers thus far to Dinar Trade and talked with them on the phone 3 times (Hold time is rediculous and they really need to change the 2 songs that play over and over). My bank is Bank of America (as is Dinar Trade's), I've had no problems and both x-fers were received and acknowledged by email. I've made 2 wire transfers to Dinar Trade and spoke with them on the phone several times (wait time on hold is ridiculous, and so are the 2 lame songs that play over and over). However, I've not had any problems with wire xfers, both have been received and acknowledged by email. My bank is Bank of America (as is Dinar Trade's). A friend of mine has also made several wire transfers without a hitch and has received his Dinar FedEx next day as promised. I certainly hope to God they're legit.
