I like silver,period. In 2007 it was around $13 now it's $33.58. It took a hit at the end of 2008 and has climbed ever since. Had I invested heavily in silver in '07 I would have earned a return of about 61% and change, in 5 years time.

Really makes no difference how much Dinar is out there, the CBI put it there and they know exactly how much is scattered across the globe. Once it RV's , the Dinar will find it's way into the hands of each country's central bank, from there gov't buyers will order oil from Iraq at market price. The COST to extract oil is peanuts compared to it's value. Iraq will not need hard money to buy back their Dinar.

It seems that my local banks just don't have a clue whats going on with the Dinar. One bank even sells them. I can buy Dinar for $1044/mil. My wife goes in to order some Dinar and she gets SWARMED by 3-4 tellers wanting to know what to do with it. They all admited to buying some "because all of our customers have been buying it", but didn't have a clue why. So my wife spent about 10 minutes giving them the scoop lol. I had heard that Chase bank was selling them, so when I went in yesterday I asked the teller helping me if they sold Iraqi Dinar. She told me that they quit selling them, when I asked why she said "because people were buying them, thinking that they were going to make a lot of money off of them, THEY AREN'T WORTH ANYTHING" hehe, I left before she got me fired up lol. It occured to me then that these folks just punch a time card and process our transactions all day, even the branch managers don't have a clue. I have determined that there are a few type of people out there. The ones that were informed about the Dinar and got some and the naysayers that didn't get some. I won't feel sorry for the naysayers, it will be the biggest I told you so of all time.

I was just thinking the same thing before I read your post I have been in the building industry for about 20 years. If the logistics of getting material into Iraq were smooth, it's ripe for the picking.

I got a call today from a guy at Forex because I created an account there and started playing with the practice account (and actually made some $). Once I got him to shut up about soliciting an account with Forex I asked him about the Dinar. He said "We don't plan on trading the Dinar due to it's lack of liquidity" and said to "be prepared for a 38% pip). Not that I know what a pip is....anyway, for what it's worth this tidbit may be useful to someone.

IMHO a low RV is simply a way of shaking out some of the speculators early. It will go up and up so just hang on to it. Banks are not non-profit organizations, they're in this to make money too. If they can buy back X amount of dinar at an .85 exchange rate, even if only for a day or two, they saved millions in the process. The patient hold outs will make more $ in the end.

ROFLMAO!! For the life of me, I can not find the option to change my name. I see every other option (password etc...)......

I guess there are some that are ignorant of Cajun heritage, it's ok, I'm used to it. People are afraid or threatened by that which they don't understand.

I was asked to change my user name, which I will do if I could figure out how.
