My understanding is they are getting the dollar off the street, but they are continuing the auctions. I feel the bigger problem is the value of the dinar is so low, they can't get rid of the dollar yet, so hopefully they will be forced into a corner, which is the only way to get them to do anything!

Yes, because our current administration has a war on gas and oil. Not to mention paying for all the illegal migration entering the US. Sending a lot of money over sea's for whatever reason. We could be energy independent, have a ton more money to spend on the US, if we weren't throwing it away. This administration has to go!

I hear what you are saying, and I can't disagree with much of that, but we really need to win this one, to put a stop to their plan. The greatest advantage we have with this election, is that Biden is still trying to run. Watching him and listening to him is enough to pick up more votes for Trump, or whoever is the nominee for the Republicans. We can only hope, because 4 more years of Biden & Kamala is not going to be good for anyone!

Yes ... China is struggling a lot. I know that they have had riots lately, because they have not paid workers. That's just a start. So, I don't think they will be in a position to replace the US.

Almost every US city has feasts after Ramadan along with celebrations after Break Fast. Check your local listings to find out where & when. NOTE: The start & the end dates of Ramadan is slightly different amongst Shiites & Sunnies. Can we tune into Channel One to watch it? I understand from Frankie, that Channel One is the place to see everything happening in Iraq!

I get what you are saying, and yes if we keep this weak worthless group in the white house, I can see China moving ahead of us, due to their weak policies. If we get Trump back in power, and or a successor like him, we will see our country take off. They will open up our oil and gas lines, which will weaken the other countries, just to mention one thing. They will go to work on getting our factories up and producing. Right now, our current administration is strangling our country with the all the "go green" policies. Their spending and tax policies are killing the business and private sectors. So, back to my original statement. China will beat us, if we keep the current administration in power. JMHO

I don't think that they will switch off the dollar, when push comes to shove! The US has the strongest economy in the world, and everyone knows it. China has a struggling economy right now, and they are the strongest of the group. Russia is totally in the ditch economy wise, so why would anyone switch off the dollar, other than out of hate for America. American is a solid and safe place for your currency. JMHO!

I think Iraq is making a lot of progress. They are growing as a country, and will continue to expand. The better it gets, the more confident they will be, and then maybe we can get a real valuable currency!

I would be very surprised if everyone ditched the dollar to go to the Yuan. The US has the strongest economy in the world. Yes, we are struggling ourselves, but the economy is stronger than China. China is currently struggling, and I don't think they are strong enough to pull it off. Russia is in really tough times right now, they are under so many sanctions, that I can't believe they are still involved in Ukraine. I am not an economist by any stretch of the imagination, but I think the US Economy right now is the best, and dollar is the strongest!

Every once in a while I like the bank stories. I always wish it is true, but I don't really think that banks are going to know anything, until it actually happens. I also don't think that they need to be trained to do currency exchanges, as doing an exchange with the dinar, wouldn't be any different than exchanging for Canadian or any other currency. They look at the current rate, make sure the currency is legit, and deposit whatever it is worth, so I don't think they need anymore training to do that.

Dr. Shabibi, it's done..! I think that Dr Shabibi did aspire to get the dinar back to it's Glory Days, but I don't think it will be close to that. I do wish it would, but I want to be a realist about it. If it came out at a little over the dollar, we will be extremely lucky, and very happy! Dr Shibibi was a very good guy, and he really wanted the best for Iraq. I just don't believe we will get where he wanted to go.

Whether they are now, or going to be in the near future, does not matter. They are moving forward in a lot of areas. This is just one of them. After all these years, it seems like watching paint dry, but I really think that they are moving consistantly forward everyday.

A lot to unpack on this. The first part is, I don't think the US has any control over what the Iraqi's do or don't do. They pretty much do whatever they want, and rightfully so. They are a sovereign nation, and have total control of their country, so again, I just don't think the US has any control over the revalue. As far as the exchange being $3.22...I wish! I really don't think it will come out anywhere near there. I just want them to come out with a number, so that I can decide if I want out. Just give me a reason to turn in my dinar, and get the heck away from these clowns! Thirdly, every year we hear that they need to do it before Ramadan or right after. They pretty much can do it whenever they want, even during Ramadan. Probably not going to happen during Ramadan though. That part is true I believe. I don't think they even consider doing anything during that time. I think there are a lot of good things going on, that will make this investment work, but we need to be more patient, if that is possible. It will come to an end. Hopefully this year! These are just my opinions, so please don't be hating on me!

They are running the auction like a swiss watch! Although, the dinar was a touch higher today. Maybe that will be something to watch "in coming days".

This article kind of confirms what I was saying yesterday. The Supreme Court can't make the HCL a law. They basically made the Kurds turn over the oil and gas to the country, but the Parliament still has to make it a law. Kind of like binding arbitration with the unions. So, we just need the government to get their act together, and get the HCL on the books.

There really is no way to know the real truth. As I have learned about these people...don't listen to what they tell you...watch what they do. I really don't think they will ever tell the truth, but the one thing I haven't seen that needs to happen, as far as I am concerned, is the HCL completed. I see them working on it all the time, but just haven't gotten there yet.

Some of the articles are fake news, and some of them are reruns from long ago. My understanding, is that it has to be approved by Parliament, to become a law, but that the Kurds keep backing out. Now, I could be wrong, but I do believe that it won't become law until Parliament gets it together. I find it hard to believe that the courts have the power to make the HCL Law happen.
