  1. Well... as per any of the hundreds of claims that don't come true... no links are necessary. You can't have a link to news that didn't happen! Hence, the BS...
  2. Francie, I was thinking that too... but then realized it must happen every 100 years... as in 1911, 2011, 2111, 2211.... and so on...
  3. Hmmm... quite a loaded question there, fancy... and a can of worms that goes really deep! You're going to have to do much more research into the history of finance and world banking to understand the implications of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Bilderbergers and others... There is much reference to this in many threads here on DV... someone else here may lead you to them. But take a look around... and be prepared to explore the matrix of the financial world! Welcome... and good luck!
  4. Hi Sean... I think what you're asking, is what I'm also wondering.... how to maximize my return on the dinars I already have, versus new investments... If there is a window for cash-in/exchange (say 90 days for example), and we are required to transact or lose them... we may only have that choice... turn them in for the profit after spread and fees, and that's it! Then, take a portion of our profit and reinvest/buy more dinars at the new higher rate... either through a bank, or dealer.... and ride it out further... hopefully to a much higher rate... Or possibly, it would be great to be able to "exchange" them (not cash in) for any new notes, if available... perhaps for a small fee. ( I liken this to changing one of our $100 bills for five twenties! Doesn't cost anything to do that. ) Then, we can hold our new dinars for a later cash-in at hopefully a higher rate. This would be ideal... but I'm thinking not as probable... One thing is for sure, I believe... many, many people will simply cash-in everything they have immediately... So... all we can do is really just react... We shall see. All the best!
  5. Hi CJ... I understand that the gifter (you) will pay the gift tax, not the recipient. So, as long as you're gifting under $13k worth per person, you won't pay the gift tax. It will save YOU a ton of money versus if you gifted them AFTER a significant RV. So, you're safe with 250k dinar value (approx. $250 US value) pre-RV. They will pay taxes on the new RV rate, as we will. Take a little time and read through the Tax Forum here for some more clarification... General concensus on circulated vs. uncirculated seems to be that they will all be treated the same. Hope that helps.
  6. He's been bouncing around the forums taunting like a troll... He's either Ernest T. Bass, or a 12 year old that got onto mommy's computer. Best we just ignore him at this point, IMO
  7. Hey... words matter! We're not mind readers. Take a little more responsibility and compose a more coherent message to make your point, rather than have to come back and defend yourself. Come on, already... adults need to know how to communicate. Have a nice day!
  8. Pudge... as highlighted above... NO and NO... and YES... please be more selective in your battles. That's my point. Anyway... yes, great discussing this with you! All the best... to us all!
  9. Yes, BB... I have noticed quite a bit. I've been practicing a lot of restraint... and tongue biting!!!
  10. Ahhh... thanks Pudge! We are close to understanding each other. You're assuming there must be debate in order for you to get your viewpoint across. Counter to your statement... NOT all people subscribe to YOUR criteria for investing. And don't think for one minute, that superstition does not exist in the heads of many objective thinkers!!! Heck, that's part of the fun! So, I will simply add, that in answer to your question highlighted above... YES, it is an emotional involvement in someone elses business. Have I asked to be convinced? Attempting to convincing someone of something they have not asked for... is purely an emotional intrusion on others' boundaries... regardless of intent. However, the intent typically reveals itself as driven by ego, or narcissism... which is purely emotional, not intellectual. And, if someone wants to invest, supported more by emotions... that's their business. It's not for any of us to tell them otherwise. Period. Our concern for their decisions could easily be demonstrated through suggestions, rather than "mandated" behavioral expectations. Either way, it's emotionally vested. So, unless someone has voluntarily submitted to a debate... or asked for advice, reasoning, or explanation... I again suggest treading respectfully within others' personal boundaries. Too many people, especially within forums, might assume all is fair game in criticism and intrusive behavior. It is not... and all should keep that in mind in their "approaches" and "responses"... of course, all in my opinion! Thanks again Pudge... I really think we're actually on the same page! All the best! Jax
  11. Hahaha... I know... saw that cartoon before!!! A lot more investigation going on in that cartoon though!!! I respectfully disagree with you Weapon... I think reasonable people, not all people... will believe the results of a more thorough investigation.... AND will gladly submit to the findings... whatever they may be. Some people just have higher thresholds in their personal reasoning... doesn't make them bad. It's their right. Simple intellectual honesty. Anyway... best of luck with your battle, Weapon!
  12. Hey Weapon... thanks for the further info! You're always on the ball! So much makes sense in the mere technicality of the verification... but from only two sets of eyes?!! As they are respected state officials, it just seems that a more independent/forensic verification should be honored for a Presidential issue. Perhaps from a non-government entity? Respectfully, these officials are trained in their professional capacity to oversee the paperwork they are entrusted with... but could they spot a fake? So, as the law is written... it has been followed, and accepted by many, including the Governor. But, at the highest levels of importance, we all know that circumvention, manipulation and corruption exists. I guess many people just have a hard time accepting what these two officials "see" and taking their word for it. Hence the ongoing "investigation". Not good! Not good for thr country at all! With that, I can totally understand your frustration, and others', over the ongoing drama. But, I can also understand the other side's as well. There does not seem to be true resolve because of this... OK... I'm bowing out of this disagreement... I've said all I want to. We'll see what more develops. Thanks again Weapon!!!
  13. I think if you read Adam's chat from today... it addresses and answers much of that speculation... important decisions being CAREFULLY planned and awaiting execution. It's all a big MAYBE!
  14. Ooops... sorry about the previous post... posted before I could write anything!!! Great reply, thanks Pudge! A bit more than what I was expecting... but ok. All of your reasoning is pretty widely accepted, intellectually... so there is much agreement in your substance. I'd say then, that your answer is an attempt to simply protect us from ourselves, our own decisions. Very admirable... but that does lead to the other part of honesty... emotion. Your intent is not only in your personal best interest as an investor... it is apparent that your subsatnce in your posts is so important, that you are also intent on influencing others' decision making. Again... noble... but emotional. And that's ok... but let's be honest about it... when you involve others in YOUR intellectual endeavors... you are also involved emotionally. So, with that understanding... thank you for your assistance and caring. Many here haven't asked for it... so, to all... I'd suggest, tread respectfully among people's own values and beliefs in these forums! Thanks again, Pudge... well done.
  15. EXACTLY!!! Why??????? What if you were out of town and couldn't get there "today"... or any other reason??? Why don't people ask? Heck, I'd have told them it's too inconvenient for me to get there... please deliver them!
  16. Pudge... just wondering... why do feel the need to trample on someone's beliefs? Belief and faith are the right, and comfort, of the individual. So... how does that affect you? An emotionally and intellectually honest answer would be appreciated.
  17. Hi Shab... I hear ya, but how do you know that's the reason you got negged? Maybe it's simply the dismissiveness and nonsensical reasoning to being told to stifle. No one seems to want to answer to my argument why an independent authority can't simply inspect the original "vault" copy. Simple... end of issue... end of discussion. No, the debate gets deflected into another direction... that's disingenuous, and frankly, immature. Seems we all want the same thing, yet defenders want us to just accept internet copies. Why?
  18. If Ron Paul can't get the GOP nomination... I'd like to see him get the VP nod. This does two things... keeps him very, very relevant... and keeps him off of a potential third-party ticket, that would upset the applecart, spltting the GOP vote.
  19. LOL... I understand the metaphor... just not your need to attack a fellow member. Pretty simple. Please defend your position without directing your anger at individuals, that's all I'm saying. It's a civil request. Why can't an individual feel as much passion as a proponent for a cause, as you might feel defending it? Fair is fair... and you seem to ignore that. At this point in OUR discussion, I'm really not interested as much in the reasoning behind your views, as I am in how you express them. However, I do enjoy your viewpoints because they further the discussion... you make a lot of good points... it would be nice to hear you reciprocate once in a while! People may continue with this issue until they are satisfied with a reasonable answer for resolve... and it may go beyond 2012. And if it needs to be defended by people like yourself... so shall it be... and rightfully so... until there is full resolve. But, it should never be stifled! All the best to you TD... stay safe... and thanks for your insight as well.
  20. Hi Bubbe.... yep, the dumbing down of America has been if full force for a long time, passively. It's up to the 99% to wake up, take care of themselves and their families from an independent, aggressive, and individualistic standpoint.... to affect growth and prosperity by empowering and educating themselves! The accumulative effect on society will be a boon to health, wealth, prosperity... and hence, happiness.... as in the good ol' pursuit of!!! I agree with you... we have to support the awakening... and insist on everone's participation in education and enlightenment of real economic knowledge... practical and honest participation! First recognize... then reject the dumbing down policies in all of society... think for yourself... not collectively! It's up to the 99% to nurture genuine intellectual integrity... work and prosper!
  21. Excellent post Willy1der!!! Let's get the ball rolling Pappy.... you go first!!! We'll be right behind ya!!!
