In most cases today our US banks have joined a 'tag' program which extends the $250,000 FDIC coverage from the $100,000 coverage. This is because the increased FDIC coverage ($250,000), expires at the end of 2010. Therefor, your first question should be to ask your bank if they are a 'tag' covered bank. Check out which banks in your area participate in the CEDARS program which can cover you up to 1 million dollars at one bank. Or do a little research on the internet to check out the differanct ways you can 'title' your accounts so you can be covered for more than 1,000,000 or 250,000. For example you might hold a joint account, a single accounts, and a POD account for children. Or of course you can check into trust accounts. RV Baby!!!

Yep, your councel was correctly given. A domestic or international wire transfer, whether it be an out going or in coming wire, doesn't happen in an instant. It does take hours or even until the next day, depending upon the time of day your wire is processed. It's always been like that ... unless something new is being used in retail banking that I may not be 'up on'. Transfers go through a 'clearing house, referred to as an ACH (automatic clearing house) transfer. Hope this helps. RV Baby !!!!

All interesting posts yet, most very similar experiences, don't you all agree? ... I think its the 'human nature thing' kick'en in! When I first heard of the IQD, I researched it immediately. I was scarded off by the LOP talk, (back then), became a bit over whelmed and decided it was too complicated to sort out on my own. Than serval months later, the friend who had told me about this investment asked me if my husband and I had purchased some dinar, which I told him no and why. He encouraged me and told me to dig-in a bit deeper, so I did and after having some understanding into the whole big picture, made my first purchase. After I purchased my first million, I decided to tell my closest friend, who happens to be my cousin. What a smart girl she is! She absolutely was interested and made her first small purchase. However, other than my cousin, the few other people whom I decided to shared my 'secret' with, all blew me off. And I don't mean they were politely nodding and pretended to listen, I mean I could barely get the word Iraq out of my mouth when I was cut me off as they rolled their eyeballs at me! It only took me the second experance to decide I'm keeping my IQD secret, a secret! So when the RV occurs, and I feel it will happen very soon, I will continue to live modestly or as modestely as I can, be very quite and share my $$$ blessings as I feel directed. If or when I am asked about my $$$ blessing, I will down play it as some small investment that happened to pay off a little for me and my husband. No details neccessary. RV Baby!!!
