Many major announcments are made in mosques because cleric's are to be believed and many Iraqi's are illiterate. So yes it can be announced in mosque's, but also by regular conventional mean's, ie: radio, TV, Newspaper's ect. pp

Possum, I appreciate your optimism, but its been a trying day for many here at DV. Many are tired and stressed. Not so much about rumors, but that we are so close as many, myself included, feel we are just about there. While I applaud you, some , even myself, would appreciate you give it a rest for a day or so. We need to all calm down and regroup our thoughts. This is in relation to another rumor floating around. That one says Military people must exchange there dinars back to US currency while in Iraq and not at any supposed new rate, just the 1170 conversion. Even at this point THAT is still a rumor even. pp

Holy Carp Batman, whats with the continuous bashing of djgabrielie ? He and many others have taken on a thankless task at being a Mod. I have been there and believe me the pay sucks....big time. Its all good, you have nothing to worry about. I have many of all the different dinars ( except no 250's ) and mostly 25000 notes. Relax, enjoy the ride, its almost over. pp

In most cases I believe its a weight thing. Remember dealers had to have them shipped from the ME at a cost. A 50 dinar note while slightly lighter brings way less profit then a 25000 note. Hence the price difference. Hope that helped. pp
