  1. Our grandson is a quadrapalegic and needs many many things just to stay alive and I'm sure there are countless others in the same predicament. My goal is to help those who CAN'T help themselves. People with special needs that the system and everyone else seems to forget about. Out of sight out of mind. And will be thankful to be in a position to be able to help. Super :) :)

Hey therentman, you seem to have the right Idea. If the rest of the folks on here would listen to your words, "just form the government and get on with the plan".It does not matter about "good guy" or "bad guy" as though they are running for a popularity contest. Matters not who is in PM position, seating a "government" is what counts at this stage of game. The RV will be done when they are ready and if they don't get this thing formed then security and conditions will not improve for the Iraqi people period.
  3. mh, don't know if you want to hear some ideas I've learned from people posting with articles. These points are not rumors or speculation:(1) The CBI has reduced dinar liquidity in circulation by 70% or more. (2) And the inflation in Iraq is the lowest in the world. (3) Iraq is floating on an ocean of oil, (4) I doubt that Iraq will be paying for this RV due to the fact that most of their debt has been forgiven by all except their own brothers and sister nations or the Arab League because they know the Iraqi's will do the "Poor Me" act all the way to the bank with laughing. There is a lot more but I know someone will be asking for links to back all of this up and I don't have or shall I say I won't take the time to dig them up so everyone is on his/her own to prove to themselves what is real and what is not. . . so here's the best to you and have a good day!
  4. Trimark, we gave the dinar note to family approximately two years ago, and your saying that we are going to have to pay taxes on money we gave away before RV thats worth less than $25? Sorry that don't make sense to me!
  5. Words of wisdom and experience to back it up. Very well put, thanks for you post Doc, I appreciate you very much!
  6. Can't ever say "never" when it comes to a sly fox like Maliki, cause he is slicker than a greased pig and we've seem some tricks he's pulled where he can get out of a few locks that surprised everyone! Thanks for the post!
  7. Well from this article Dinars R us, it seems Maliki got his way after all! Thanks for the post and have a good day.
  8. Inicio, I tell ya, some folks have no sense of rumor humor, I don't know what to with them! Thanks for the post my friend!
  9. It's Okay to get jelly in you belly friends, but not in you spine. It's simple to me, if I believed in that nasty L word I would hurry up and get rid of my dinar. In other words if you believe in the RV then WE are going to hold our dinar until the RV horn goes off! Have a nice day!
  10. Of course, if you don't believe him, just ask him! Sorry, I wasn't nice!
  11. Listen folks, the Iraqi dinar will become as precious as gold when it RVs. And when we cash in the dinar, what we cash in will go into our federal reserves to back up the USD. The USD is low on buying power compared to the power of the 70's and 80's. So with the history that we are going to be part of, not only will we become rich because of cashing in our dinar but we will become richer because of the USD will gain more buying power because of the RV! GO RV! ! !
  12. Thats exactly what was going through my mind while I was reading it, sportfisher.
  13. Or an old lopper under a new name!
  14. So thats where the autos are coming from for the car bombs? Also isn't 1000 billion the same thing as one trillion? Wow that will be some profit at RV time! 15. Maliki will just run back to Iran like the coward that he is, because after all Iran was the reason that he got the PM job in the first place. And I wonder where Maliki put all the money he stole from Iraq, well, my guess is he stashed it in Iran. JMO
  16. Alright Bigfoot, calm down, I thought you were about to put your Bigfoot up yor, well you know what I mean. We may have to get back to back if you get this mob in an up roar again!
  17. said Mutlaq, on Saturday: "The Iraqi people can not wait the tide between the political blocs competing for power at the expense of the right of the Iraqi government formation." expected: "to be coming weeks pregnant with surprises," as he puts it. Wow, this sounds like some good big changes are scheduled for Iraq, pregnant with surprises. That paints a big, big picture but I hope it is the changes that Iraq need. I hope its not something like "Hey guess what, Maliki is going for the second term! No I just can't see Maliki in again!
  18. Well I hope this happens before we get too old to enjoy the money. At least before I get to 63, I'll be 63 in Oct.
  19. Good find Dinars R us, I enjoy reading about someone thats there for the people such as Maha al-Douri. Sounds like the right kind of person thats needed for the job in Iraq or any other country for that matter. Thanks for the post!
  20. If you really want to know what happened to all those $$ stashed back, I'm will to bet Maliki knows and as I mentioned before, since Maliki has been a puppet for Iran, how would Iran control that puppet if Iran doesn't want Iraq to succeed. Don't mean to have the I problem but, I think Iran got their stinking hands on all of that money and anything else to stop Iraq through Maliki, just like we are surprised how Maliki recked the election because Iran didn't like Maliki being replaced. Iran will do anything to keep Iraq from being the great nation that all our troops died for. But don't mind me that's just my opinion! And yeah Dogmatic, I agree with you, it seems all governments plays the same games to please the rich and suppress the poor!

    Dinar Trade

My goodness Dogmatic, of course it's okay to order more dinar. These negative people don't pay your bills and don't have enough sense to mind their own business. I'm sure if I came down with cancer they would say it was because I'm doing the will of the Devil and not God's. Because I can eat eight fryed chicken legs, while the average person can eat only two, I'm labelled a gluten. Well, it takes four fryed chicken legs just to get motor started. They can call me "GREEDY" but you know the saying about, Sticks and Stone! But really Dogmatic, I'm writing this to say your story really touched my heart and if I could afford it I would send you more dinar. I understand why you chose the name Dogmatic, but Sweetheart should be your sign-on name here, and I'm sure that's what your husband calls you.
  22. This article shows some of the hold up in forming a new Iraqi government, so what's next, I'm afraid to ask. Ghosts of the past threaten Iraq's emerging alliance Al Hakim and Al Maliki have made a deal that should secure them the premiership, but nagging problems remain By Sami Moubayed, Special to Gulf NewsPublished: 00:00 June 15, 2010 Image Credit: Illustration: Guillermo Munro/©Gulf News When the 38-year old Ammar Al Hakim succeeded his father as head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC) in August, many thought that he would easily be manipulated and abused by many of his father's friends and allies, men who were far older and experienced than him. Al Hakim, however, has done a very good job at building bridges both within Iraq and with its neighbours, and has recently visited Damascus, Tehran and Riyadh to market himself as a reliable political heavyweight in Iraqi politics. During the March elections his coalition, the Iraqi National Alliance (INA), put in a solid performance. It did not sweep parliament — as was the case in 2005 — but did enough to be the third-largest bloc, with 70 seats. Al Hakim would have been satisfied with this, knowing that, even with 91 seats, Eyad Allawi did not have a majority and could not form a Cabinet on his own — this would require 163 seats. None of the aspirants could become prime minister without the full backing of Al Hakim and the SIIC. This week, Al Hakim and Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki announced they would merge their two blocs, the INA and Al Maliki's State of Law coalition, which has 89 seats, into one bloc, giving them a total of 159 seats. The remaining four seats required for a majority are relatively easy to obtain. The writing had been on the wall for weeks, as the two sides openly debated a merger. But only last week, apparently fed up with the prime minister's arrogance, Al Hakim had snapped: "I speak to the politicians and tell them: Come down from your ivory tower and [do away] with your personal ambitions!" Al Hakim was visibly angry with Al Maliki's insistence that no one but he was entitled to the Iraqi premiership. The two men seemed to agree that it was vital to prevent the rise of the secular Allawi, but little else besides. Al Hakim does not trust Al Maliki, and nor does his ally, Moqtada Al Sadr. Al Maliki came to power in 2006 thanks to the unwavering support of Abdul Aziz Al Hakim (Ammar's father) and Al Sadr, but subsequently turned his back on both of them. Al Sadr supported Al Maliki in 2006-2007, legitimising him among grassroots Iraqis, while the prime minister protected him from the government dragnet, allowing his men to bear arms and create a mini-state in the slums of Baghdad. Once firmly in power, however, Al Maliki abandoned Al Sadr, prompting the young cleric to tell La Republica: "Between myself and Abu Israa [Al Maliki] there has never been much feeling. I never trusted him. At our last meeting he first told me: ‘You are the country's backbone,' and then he confessed that he was ‘obliged' to combat us. Obliged, you hear me?" Al Sadr sees Al Maliki as an American stooge who will renege on all promises made to the INA once he is firmly back in power, as he did in 2007. Al Hakim, meanwhile, views the prime minister as a very unreliable ally because of his decision in January 2009 to contest the provincial elections on his own. This, and his decision to run independently again last March, means that Al Maliki will forever be seen as an opportunist in the eyes of his Shiite allies. Al Hakim, however, is obliged to ally with Al Maliki — at the behest of Iran — to ensure the Shiites are not overwhelmed by secular figures such as Allawi or Sunnis. The merger does not necessarily mean that everything is resolved. Unless real pressure is applied on Al Maliki by Tehran, he will refuse to accept a compromise candidate for prime minister — certainly not anyone from the INA. Al Hakim himself has no ambition to become prime minister, much like his father and uncle who were "prime minister makers". . The SIIC has long wanted one of its own to become prime minister, such as Adel Abdul Mahdi. Rivalry Once this matter is resolved, Al Hakim and Al Sadr need to resolve their differences. For years, Al Sadr had accused Al Hakim's father of being an Iranian stooge, because he fought alongside the Iranians during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s. Al Sadr has always boasted that he never fled Iraq — not for a single day during the heyday of the Saddam regime — while the Al Hakim family spent years in Tehran, and were bankrolled and protected by the Iranians. When Al Hakim toyed with the idea of creating an autonomous Shiite district in southern Iraq, similar to the Kurdish one in the north, Al Sadr was the first to challenge the idea, arguing that pan-Arabism rather than pan-Shiitism should prevail, and that Iraq should remain united. Now that Abdul Aziz Al Hakim is gone, the rivalry between the two turbaned young men is stronger than ever. They come from heavyweight families that have competed for leadership of the Shiite community for decades, are both sons of legendary figures, and happen to be only two years apart in terms of age. The longer it takes to find solutions, the more these old rivalries will bubble to the surface, if not between the leaders themselves then between their followers. Al Maliki, Al Hakim and Al Sadr seem to realise that time is not on their side, as Allawi speeds up his PR campaign to promote himself as the only real prime minister. He met with Al Maliki to score points on Saturday, then surprisingly wrote an article for The New York Times, addressing the US public directly. In Iraq, the ghosts of the past have a way of causing very real problems. Unless genuine solutions are hammered out in Baghdad, the Al Hakim-Al Maliki merger will amount to nothing. 23. When something is wrong with our government, something is wrong with us and I can't hardly believe my eyes as to what this article is saying, let alone the fact that Obama will be supporting Terrorists! This has really changed my opinion about the President of, what country are we in anyway?
  24. I'm so confused and I don't know if I am to believe this article! But hey what ever! Forgive me if this has already been posted, I haven't been in here all day. Iraq: Allawi Begins Choosing New Cabinet Ministers Al Iraqiya Official to Asharq Al-Awsat: Ministers in the al Maliki government have expressed desire to join us 10/06/2010 By Ma'ad Fayad Baghdad, Asharq Al-Awsat - The Iraqiya List led by the former head of the Iraqi interim government, Dr. Iyad Allawi, has begun to form the next government “based on its constitutional right as the list that won the legislative elections (91 seats),” confirmed a source from the Iraqiya List. The source told Asharq Al-Awsat in Baghdad on Wednesday that “the [iraqiya] List is determined to uphold its constitutional right to form the next government with Allawi as its candidate to head the government.” The source indicated that “the leadership of the [iraqiya] List has begun its internal meetings as well as official dialogue with the rest of the winning coalitions in the elections to select the names of the members of the next government so that it takes less time to announce the names of the new ministers once the head of the list has been charged with forming the next government by the President of the Republic in accordance with the text of the Iraqi constitution.” The source, who spoke to Asharq Al-Awsat on condition of anonymity, said, “The next government will be a national partnership government so for this reason Iraqiya is keen to select new ministers on the basis of professional competence and in accordance with the dialogue that took place and is still taking place between the Iraqiya List and other blocs, particularly the National Iraqi Alliance headed by Ammar al Hakim, the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, and the Kurdistan Alliance that includes the two main Kurdish parties, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan headed by the Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and the Kurdistan Democratic Party headed by Massoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region.” The source added that “among those included in the next government are ministers from the State of Law coalition that is headed by Nuri al Maliki, the head of the outgoing government. Those ministers got in touch [with the Iraqiya List] and expressed their willingness to join the new government regardless of whether or not their [state of Law] list will join the next government.” The source stressed that the “Iraqiya List is continuing to hold serious and formal talks with the rest of the lists including the State of Law coalition and that it will not exclude any person from taking part in the next government, and that it [the Iraqiya List] is informing them of the latest developments in the formation of the new government.” The source also mentioned that President Jalal Talabani had confirmed that he will charge Allawi with forming the next government “being the head of the winning list with the biggest number [of votes] yet.” The official source from the Iraqiya List revealed that “Rafi al Issawi, a leader in the Iraqiya List, has archive video recordings of the drafting of the Iraqi Constitution, during which Humam Hammoudi, the Chairman of the Iraqi Constitution Drafting Committee and Sami al Askari, a member of the committee, insisted that the interpretation of Article 76 of the Constitution is that the bloc that wins the largest number of seats is the one that forms the government and not the [largest] post-electoral allied bloc as the Kurdistan bloc was claiming at the time.” http://aawsat.com/english/news.asp?section=1&id=21254
