Thats a good question...Remember the internet was no where near like it is today......Al Gore aka..the father of the internet.... didnt have thinks downpat like they are today.........

There was no Internet as we know it when Kuwait re-instituted (they did not RV).

No...

First, Kuwait never revalued it's currency

2nd, you couldn't buy Kuwaiti dinar from dealers

3rd, the official rate never changed

4th, the whole thing only took about 9 months

5th, you had to be in country in order to cash out

It was a very very different situation.

Hi ChiTown, welcome to DV. I'm glad to see that jumped right in by reading Adam's book. That'll give you a head start.

On another note entirely, I was raised in Chicago -- far Northwest side near Harlem and Belmont. I left in '78 when I joined the Navy, never went back to Chicago to live, but I still call it home.
