I had someone send me that and it is scary. Just very matter-of-factually said really no reason to work with all the help they get. I know people that really need help right now that can't get it because income is $2 more than upper limit. Sad state we are in.

Good for you Krome... I tried to post this a week or so ago but couldn't figure out how to open it from the file it was sent it... but you got it! Thanks... and this is scary as all get out. I have heard someone say that as soon as people (I should add "some people") figure out they can vote themselves benefits... we are doomed as a country. It looks like the majority has figured out how to do that... our gig is about up unless these sheeple wake up!

why do people seem to believe that social security, medicare and unemployment are government sponsored programs we the working people pay into this are entire working lives

We have to get across the point that entitlement is over, you are not entitled to Shi*! Get off your butt and do something with your life.... Hardest part is getting politician's to stop feeding on their vote"s. There's no racism here, trash is trash.. Why does he get paid? His jokes are not funny, he should be offering solutions, and yes he was a big Obama lover now he is having second thoughts.....He referred to 1 or 2 countries in Europe trying to say socialism is great but forgot to mention the 20-30 countries that are 3rd world for centuries now and are very poor. You can start from Mexico and go down to every country in Central and South America until you reach Argentina and see what I'm talking about, I've been there I know! Brazil would be the only one that advanced but still poor to our way of living and salaries here in Amerca. So Bill M has a lot to learn. He is stuck in his CA liberal bubble.....Everytime he opens his mouth I can puke, he makes me sick!!! Remember this, Socialism is one step from becoming comunist...That's a fact!!!

It's time to kick the habit and get to where we belong.

Tiffany, isn't it interesting how this clever clown (IMO, that's all Maher is) while lauding Euro-socialism never mentions the crisis in Greece, Italy, Portugal and Ireland. And when it comes to this side of the pond conservatives only need to say one word to prove their point that big-government socialism will ALWAYS fail; "Detroit."

Bill points out that Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, Fanny May/Freddy Mac, Government Bailouts are all part of socialism. That's a fair statement, right? Next, the argument is made that those of you who work are entitled to those government programs because you worked for them. Ok, that's also a fair argument. But only up to a point.

If you get paid out, what you paid in…fine. Then I have no issues. If you paid in more than you get out. I’d say, welcome to the club…many of those entitlements are actually more like insurance. If you don’t need them, then you don’t get them.

But more than likely, you are like the vast percentage of Americans that will get more out than what you put in. Think about it, what do you think your medicare costs will be in the last month of your life. Studies show, you will use much more in those last few months in health care than you ever put in.

But here is the rub, Gents. I’m 24 years old, and currently it looks like I will have to work ATLEAST until I’m 70, but more likely 75 before I can even begin to think about social security. While right now, many of you can retire at 62. So I can expect to work, at least 8, but more likely 13 years longer than many of you. And get this, the current projection is that we will be 150 TRILLION in debt by then. Can you even imagine what the dollar will be worth or the inflation rate????

So, my point is the joke is on the generations that come after you…like mine. I’m stuck with a much bigger IOU bag than what you have.
