Announced that the province of Babylon, on Monday, thecabinet has allocated ten million dollars to revive the ancient city ofBabylon, while the Department of Antiquities revealed in the province for ameeting next week to brainstorm and develop a program to invest the amount inthe development of the city.

The governor of Babylon Mohammed Massoudi in an interviewfor "Alsumaria News", "The cabinet has allocated an amount often million dollars to revitalize the city of Babylon," pointing out that"the city hit by negligence during the former regime and the successivegovernments after 2003."

For its part, confirmed the director of the effects of BabelMariam Omran said in an interview for "Alsumaria News," that"will hold a meeting next week to develop a special program to commemoratethe city and invest the amount allocated," calling professors effects,researchers, archaeologists and specialists affairs implications to participatein the meeting.

They pointed out that Imran "The Directorate hasseveral ideas and programs to match the implementation of the developmentprocess as approved by UNESCO, as there are priorities in the work to save someof the buildings hit by rising groundwater."
