Last Iraq Parliament session before Fitir

Friday, August 19, 2011 12:11 GMT

Thursday Parliament session was the last for the MPs before Fitir Vacation. The session was inaugurated by a Kurdish request to add the issue of Turkish bombarding on Irbil and Duhok provinces borders on the session’s agenda. Following this request the speaker called the committee of security and defense to study the issue and to present a report about the situation after the vacation.

During the recess many press conferences were held in which Basra MPs called to hold regular meetings with the Province’s council in order to develop the services. To that, Culture Committee called to amend the schools’ curriculum in a way to include theories in a balanced way about all the Islamic sects.

To that, the Cabinet performance was discussed during the session with the Ministers of Planning and emigration in order to review the strategic plans for the two ministries for the next four years. The next session was set on September 6.

This group is worse than our politicians. Always needing a vacation for doing absolutely nothing but allowing the suffering of their people to continue.

I don't recall one vacation they have taken in the past six months, that they have not been working. Actually, it seems that they get more done during their vacations.

Once again: Don't listen to what they say, watch what they do.

If anyone is in doubt, look at Scooter's work he did on the laws they have passed during the past year. It is mind boggling and they have been moving at warp speed.

Quit complaining and start reading.
