On page 18 of Adam's RV Intel book the address to apply online for a warka account is shown as: http:/iqd.me/I/5u. that address redirects me to a link shortening page where I am having no success. Can anyone tell me to start the process of opening an account.? Many thanks.

Well, still no luck in opening an account. I have sent several emails to the bank requesting help but no response. does anyone have any more thoughts or intel? thanks, steve

You have to understand that you have undertaken this process during Ramadan and that it is a lengthy one to begin with Ramadan notwithstanding. I began the process of opening my account on June 16th of this year and It was not until August 2nd that I completed the process by receiving my online login details.

A wealth of information can be found in the thread "Has anyone successfully opened an account with Warka in the last 3 weeks......"

Here are a few things that worked for me.

There is roughly a 8-9 hour time difference between the US and Iraq

I emailed between 12 am and 2 am Central time so that my emails arrived during business hours

Email Saturday night through Wednesday night. They do not work on Friday and Saturday

Be patient and polite. No matter how many times you email them about an issue be police.

Use an email app that allows you to request a read receipt. This way you know they have received it.

CC: Mr. Issa, This seems to ultimately ensure that whatever you are seeking gets done.

I hope this helps you. I feel very good about being diversified in this investment.

My wife and I beamed when we logged into our Warka Account for the first time and saw our funds......

Dear Mark in Texas. Gasketman and ozman2011: Tthank you all for the feedback. Being a pilot, I understand time zones. Also, I am always polite. So aside from these admonitions, I appreciate the time you all took to respond to my posting. I did not know that the bank was not taking new accounts. Do we know why they are not? The answer to that question might indicate when they will begin again. Meanwhile, I feel that it is smart thing to do and will continue to pursue. Again, many thanks for the help.

Hey Steve... did not mean to offend on the time zone just found it to be the best time for me , it's when I got responses ...My research shows warka may be dealing with a Russian bank, lack of big notes which hurts there daily operation locally... as well as kinda under staffed due to the demand on accounts...not to include the audits....but hang in there...if something else opens up I'll post ...God Bless stay safe...Oz

For sure there was no offense taken from your response. I have been traveling for a few days so slow to reply. Thanks for your thoughts. I have been doing as you suggested but still no response from the bank.. I am considering buying some 500 notes as a hedge against them lopping the three zeros. Trying to figure it out.

I was finally able to set up an account after emailing them every day. it took about a month I got confirmation a week ago
