Last Friday, with no fanfare, no press coverage, and with every effort made to hide his actions from the American people, President Obama snuck through the spirit of the DREAM Act via an ICE memo.

Opposed by a majority of the American people and twice defeated in Congress, the DREAM Act grants amnesty to any illegal alien residing in the United States if s/he agrees to enlist in the U.S. military or enter college.

The Obama administration memo to John Morton, Director of I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) directs I.C.E. agents now to use “prosecutorial discretion” with regard to enforcing immigration laws.

Director Morton says that Obama Administration policy directs border patrol agents not to enforce immigration laws: “When ICE favorably exercises prosecutorial discretion, it essentially decides not to assert the full scope of the enforcement authority available to the agency.”

You read that right. According to the Obama administration “favorable” enforcement means NOTenforcing the law!

Even political analyst Charles Krauthammer agrees that this is no less than the spirit of the DREAM Act.

“This is outright lawlessness on the part of the administration,” argued syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer on a discussion panel with Fox News’ anchor Chris Wallace. “Whatever the politics of this, we do have a Constitution. And under it, the Legislature, the Congress enacts the laws and the executive executes them. It doesn’t make them up.

“The DREAM Act was rejected by Congress,” Krauthammer continued. “It is now being enacted by the executive, despite the express will of the Congress. That is lawless. It may not be an explicit executive order; it’s an implicit one.’ More…

According to one of the first press reports to break this important story, the new Obama policy is cut and dry. Federal immigration officials do not have to deport illegal aliens if they are enrolled in any type of education program, if their family members have volunteered for U.S. military service, or even if they are pregnant or nursing.

Arizona and the voter ID law

Just recently Obama’s Department of Justice (DOJ) blocked Arizona from enforcing its voter ID law. Arizona is one if not the biggest portal of illegal immigration in the nation with half a million illegal aliens coming through the sate annually. Arizona’s Attorney General Tom Horne recently stated that he believed that blocking of the law facilitated massive voter fraud by illegal aliens.

“Attorney General Tom Horne accused the Obama administration Tuesday of trying to thwart Arizona’s voter-ID laws in a bid to get more illegal immigrants to the polls — presumably to cast ballots for the president and Democrats.

Horne acknowledged that a brief filed by the Department of Justice in a case to be heard next month by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals centers around the agency’s argument that Arizona’s law requiring proof of citizenship to register is pre-empted by federal law. But Horne, a Republican, told Capitol Media Services he sees something more sinister.” More…

Furthermore, it will take years to undo all the damage he's done, even if we CAN undo all of it. He's done so much that is dishonest, illegal, and sneaky that there is probably no way to even follow the trail of all of it to reverse the damage he's done.

You got that right, Francie26, and he still has over another year to keep making it worse. I think America is finally waking up but the question is, what can we do about it? Voting him out is only part of the answer (and that's if the voting isn't all rigged anyway). My daddy always said an honest man would never be a politician! After watching all of Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theories last year, especially about the FEMA camps, Martial Law, etc., again, I ask, what can Americans do about all of this? If we protest, we'd be listed on a terrorist list or we'd quietly have "an accident". I often wonder what our founding fathers generation would do now - I know they must be rolling over in their graves to see the mess our beautiful America is in. The worse part is all the lives lost that have fought and died to keep America free and she is being destroyed from within by the greed and power of a few who hate her. I truly hope God is watching over America. We need Him now more than ever!

It is what it is. We can't undo that. But we can make some important decisions/choices to alter things as much as possible, such as getting involved in politics on the local level, and then when the time comes, we can make sure to vote, and we can work hard to make sure to vote this guy and his followers out of office. We can become highly informed, and we can speak up. And we can watch for chances to jump in and help make important changes. We can become informed about what is happening in our own communities, how illegal immigration is a local and a national problem, as are many other current issues which are part of our daily lives, as well as problems for our nation. And above all, we can be Americans!! We know who we are. We are loving people. We care. We help the entire world when an emergency comes. We help our neighbors and the people in the next town over. We often attend church, but whether or not we do, we have a private faith that keeps us firmly planted in family, home, and nation. We raise our families, work with Girl Scouts, baseball teams, summer camps, and other important functions for our children. We have Grandparent Brigades so all children in small communites have loving grandparents. We are Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and we are teachers in summer Bible school. We love our country, and we stand and put our hands over our hearts when we sing the national anthem at baseball games, or as the flag passes by during the 4th of July parades. We appreciate our veterans and our servicemen and women, and we tell them so every chance we get. We have cookouts, barbeques, and picnics, and we celebrate religious holidays including Christmas and Hanukkah. And when the time comes, we fight for our country. We go to war. And we vote. When we don't like what we see, when we feel our country is threatened, we speak out and we vote. We are Americans!! That says it all.
