URGENT / Baghdad's Green Zone under rocket attack

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Central Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone has come under a Katyusha rocket attack on Wednesday, but losses are not yet known, a Baghdad Security source reported.

“A Katyusha rocket fell on the Green Zone in Central Baghdad on Wednesday, but losses were not known,” the Security Source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

The fortified Green Zone is home to the Iraqi government and leading ministries, the Presidency, the Prime Minister’s office, the Parliament, along with the U.S.

and British embassies.

OK- THIS IS MY LINE OF THOUGHT--THE MUNICIPALITY IS ERECTING GIANT TV SCREENS. AND NOW THERE IS A REPORT OF THIS BOMBING. IT LEADS ME TO WONDER THAT SOMETHING BIG IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE AND THE REBELS ARE TRYING TO STOP IT. KINDA MAKES SENSE. I HOPE THAT SECURITY FORCES IN IRAQ COMES DOWN HEAVY ON THE PERPS.

Isn't the Katyusha rocket made in Iran? Didn't Iran just attack the Kurdish area the last couple of weeks?

So it seems as if it's time to sign another gas and trade deal with Iran. When will they get a clue that Iran

isn't their friend. I hope no one was seriously hurt.
