1: talk or opinion widely disseminated with no discernible source

2: a statement or report current without known authority for its truth

3archaic : talk or report of a notable person or event

4: a soft low indistinct sound : murmur

I know when I post this I will probably be bashed but I have to say this. It seems that wether you have a Masters Degree in Finance or a GED (heck you don't even have to finish school), that no matter what a person posts in the rumors section people are forgetting the basic definition of rumor. I see people who post things they have heard over lunch. From a friend who may be over in Iraq. What they may have heard by the water cooler at work and there is always that handful of people who want to steal the wind out of their sail! This is a very tense time for everyone involved and we all want the same outcome. People are grabbing ahold of even the smallest fibers that they hear and want to share this news with someone. When we have Good things that happen in our lives it is only human to want to share this with family, friends, and even someone that we know has gone through the same thing so we know that above all they would understand! But if we continue to bash what people post or question what they post and where they got it from when the have already said "I won't disclose my source", we plant that little seedthat makes them think twice about posting anything again. The next time they may have that small piece that finishes this puzzle and they think, "well they bashed me the last time so I'm going to keep this to myself because it might not be anything." Look how long it took some of the people to come back and post again (ie Bigfoot). Now it may or may not have been all the hits he took for the July date but who could blame him if it was. I don't think that 99% of the posts that are in the rumors section are posted for "pumping" or place here to be malicious. IMO I feel we should remember those word we were taught when we were younger. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Simply Thank the person for their post and move on to the next.

I would like to say Thank You to everyone who does contribute to this no matter how small your intel may be. I have learned quite a bit from this site about investing, iraq, currency, and the type of person that I want to be when this rollercoaster ride is over. GO RV!

good post......Thanks for sayin what a lot of us feel CeCe....there are 30 to 40 folks out of the 16,000 members that keep this site interesting....and the bashing that goes on will eventually drive these people out.....hope everyone can have a more positive attitude, this thing will happen for all of us....go RV already!!!
