Shabibi is currently in Montana This is the home of Vice President (former) **** Cheney. So what is Shabibi doing in Montana. Does Cheney have a pull with the CBI.

Shabibi is in Jackson Hole WY. He is there for a financial summit.

The former home of **** Cheney is Wyoming. They wouldn't let him in Montana. :lol:

If you head over to Market Watch, he is interviewed (on video) by John Hilsenroth of the Wall St Journal...Shabibi talks about the primary mandate for the CBI being inflation control and price stability...He further explains that Iraqi monetary policy will not be tied to the oil industry and oil revenue...they are concerned about the "oil curse."

He states that growth in the Iraqi economy will be tied to human and physical infrastructure.

Doesn't sound like currency appreciation will be policy anytime soon....anyhow, it is always good to hear the words straight from the source.

Maybe he should drop by the forum and dispel all the rumors...

Took me several hours to figure out this one...growth will be tied to infrastructure-not value. The currency needs something to back up it's value. In the U.S. It's gold and likewise our economy is tied to the infrastructure. Apparently there is a lot more progress occuring in Iraq, than we realize, for him to make this statement. And, perhaps this is in response to the companies stating corruption as their reason for not going to Iraq.

This was a treat. To actually see the face and hear the voice tied to the name. Thank you for the link . :)

My interpretation of his convo is , he said " new agreements have been made concerning oil production , also said new agreement with IMF , also said temporary is their situation and last but not least Iraq is VERY RICH ! :)IMHO this sounds good , that was DATED the 26th of August

Cheney has pull anywhere he goes , has for years . Very connected individual , damn he could probably RI this for us ( Kidding ) :)
