Independent deputy Nada Shaker Jawdat explained that the main alternatives in budget financing are far from deducting the salaries of employees and retirees, pointing out the importance of relying on communications, border outlets and the currency auction to cover the budget deficit.

"The financial problem has many priorities to overcome without resorting to deducting the salaries of employees and retirees, as the first was to resort to the huge consultative delegation of the Prime Minister before resorting to the option of deduction," Jawdat said in a statement to "The Information".

She added that "ports, border ports, currency auctions and telecommunications companies represent quick resources and finance the budget with large revenues that can be used instead of deducting salaries."

It showed that "the government can take simple measures to solve the salary crisis in light of the low oil prices instead of resorting to salaries, by relying on the resources of sectors other than oil to fill the budget deficit." 25 n ended

Allawi: The economic crisis we face is worse than 2006

 23/06/2020

%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%8A-%D8%B9%D8%A8%D8%AF-%D

Information / Baghdad ..
Finance Minister Ali Allawi warned, on Tuesday, that the Iraqi economy may face "shocks that we will not be able to deal with" unless reform measures are adopted in less than a year.
"If we do not adjust matters during this year, we may face shocks that we will not be able to deal with," Allawi said in an interview with Agence France-Presse, seen by him.
Allawi, who was also finance minister during the transitional government’s period between 2005 and 2006, indicated that the situation today is “worse” because Baghdad faces an “existential economic situation”.
At that point, the price of a barrel of oil was approximately $ 35, but the number of state employees was less than a million.
Today there are more than four million employees, and many other Iraqis who are paid salaries and pensions. This means a monthly sum of between four and five billion dollars.
With one out of every five Iraqis receiving government aid, the bill becomes heavier for the country that depends on paying all its expenditures on oil whose prices collapsed months ago with a severe shortage of demand for it.
According to Allawi, the government must pay the salaries of the months of June and July, on time, by borrowing from government banks.
Allawi warned that these measures are possible for a short period, otherwise "they will affect the price structure, and consequently on inflation, which will in turn affect the exchange rate and the reserve in the central bank." End / 25

%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%86.jpg

Information / Baghdad ..
A member of the board of the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce, Hamid Hosseini, announced, on Tuesday, the export of $ 1.1 billion worth of non-oil goods to Iraq in two months during the period of March 20 to May 20, 2020.
Hosseini said in a statement reported by Fares and reviewed by him / Information /, the exports to Iraq are in good condition after the reopening of the border “Mehran” and “Khosravi” border crossings (closed as part of the precautionary measures against the Corona virus).
Hosseini expected that all crossings with Iraq, including the "attractive" port (southwest), would be reopened , while he did not rule out facing some export problems on the impact of the Corona outbreak in the neighboring country.
And he showed that the Iranian goods exports to Iraq recorded 800 million dollars in the Iranian month of "Ardebasht" (ended May 20), which in turn compensated for some of the decrease witnessed in the previous month.
Hosseini noted that in the two months mentioned, the monthly export average was $ 550 million, and that despite the difference with the monthly average of $ 750 million recorded in the previous fiscal year (ended March 19, 2020), this level remains encouraging under the circumstances of the virus outbreak. Ended / 25

Iraq demands an end to Turkish violations on its soil

23 June 2020

Source: Dubai - Arabia.Net
fcaf2518-c257-48b5-a163-0d1ffa7f2f32_16xIraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein while receiving the international delegation

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed today, Tuesday, his country's rejection and denunciation of any violation or attack by Turkey on Iraqi soil.

This came during a meeting between Hussein and the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq, Jenin Henness Blackshart, in Baghdad, according to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry website.

Haseeb called for "the necessity of stopping such violations from the Turkish side, " stressing that they violate international covenants and laws.

In another context, Hussein said that his first foreign visits "will be for Riyadh and Tehran within the framework of the (Iraqi) government's keenness to pursue a balanced policy in establishing relations with everyone."

He also confirmed that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi will visit Washington next month to complete the strategic dialogue between the two countries.

This comes as dozens of civilians fled villages in northern Iraq on Monday, while Turkey stepped up a military campaign targeting Kurdish fighters and Iraqi officials denounced it.

Turkey launched an air and ground assault on the border area last week in a campaign to root out the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which Ankara insists has bases in northern Iraq.

For its part, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry summoned the Turkish ambassador twice last week to deliver what it said was a "strong protest."
